Aaron Judge, Luis Gil and Mark Leiter Jr., Yankees

Judge (right elbow flexor strain) took on-field batting practice on Aug. 1 and 2 in Miami and is expected back in the lineup on Aug. 5 or 6.

Gil (right lat strain) is set to make his season debut on Aug. 3.

Leiter (left fibular head stress fracture) could be activated during the Aug. 4-6 Texas series, though manager Aaron Boone said Leiter might make one more Minor League appearance.

Jackson Chourio and Sal Frelick, Brewers

Chourio was placed on the 10-day IL on Aug. 1 with a right hamstring strain and could miss at least a month.

Frelick was removed in the fourth inning of the Brewers’ Aug. 2 game vs. the Nats as a precaution due to left knee soreness related to his surgically repaired meniscus.

Jeremy Peña, Yordan Alvarez, Luis Garcia and Spencer Arrighetti, Astros

Peña (hamstring cramp) was out of the starting lineup on Aug. 2, one day after he returned from a month-long stint on the injured list with a fractured rib.

Alvarez (right hand fracture) is rehabbing in West Palm Beach as of Aug. 1 and increasing his swing volume.

Garcia (Tommy John surgery) completed his fifth rehab appearance on Aug. 1, striking out two batters across 2 2/3 innings at Triple-A.

Arrighetti (right thumb fracture) is likely to return to the rotation during the Astros' Aug. 4-6 series against the Marlins.

Ronald Acuña Jr., Braves

Acuña's MRI revealed a Grade 1 right calf strain. The outfielder was placed on the IL on July 30, one day after leaving the Braves' game against the Royals during the bottom of the sixth inning.

Shane Bieber, George Springer and Alejandro Kirk, Blue Jays

Bieber is set for his first rehab outing with a Blue Jays affiliate on Aug. 3 at Triple-A Buffalo.

Springer was placed on the 7-day concussion IL on Aug. 1, retroactive to July 29. He has been participating in baseball activities and the Blue Jays are hopeful he can return as soon as he is eligible.

Kirk (concussion) could be activated as soon as Aug. 3.

Mike Trout, Angels

Trout has been out since Aug. 1 due to illness but was well enough to be at the ballpark on Aug. 2 and could return shortly after.

Bryce Miller and Trent Thornton, Mariners

Miller (right elbow bone spur) made his first rehab start on Aug. 1. He threw 52 pitches (42 strikes) in 4 scoreless innings with Triple-A Tacoma, allowing one hit and striking out six.

Thornton tore his left Achilles tendon on July 31 and will miss the rest of the season.

Kirby Yates, Max Muncy and Roki Sasaki, Dodgers

Yates was placed on the 15-day IL on Aug. 1, retroactive to July 29, with lower back pain. He had been dealing with the issue for a couple of weeks.

Muncy (left knee bone bruise) is currently lined up to return sometime during the week of Aug. 4.

Sasaki (right shoulder impingement) has resumed facing hitters as of an Aug. 1 update and is scheduled for two simulated innings on Aug. 2.

Michael King, Padres

King (right shoulder/long thoracic nerve injury) is scheduled for a Triple-A rehab start on Aug. 3.

Evan Carter and Josh Jung, Rangers

The Rangers announced on Aug. 2 that Carter will head to the injured list due to back spasms.

Jung (calf soreness) was out of the lineup for the third straight game on Aug. 2.

Nolan Arenado, Cardinals

Arenado was placed on the 10-day IL on Aug. 1 with a right shoulder strain.

Jonathan India, Jac Caglianone and Michael Lorenzen, Royals

India exited on Aug. 2 after being hit by a 95.4 mph pitch on the left arm in the third inning. X-rays came back negative.

Caglianone (left hamstring strain) has been throwing and taking live at-bats but has not resumed running.

Lorenzen (left oblique strain) threw a five-up bullpen session on July 31 and will move on to a rehab assignment, likely during the week of Aug. 4.

Ryan Mountcastle, Grayson Rodriguez and Cade Povich, Orioles

Mountcastle (right hamstring strain) is likely to return during the Orioles' upcoming Aug. 4-6 series in Philadelphia.

Rodriguez (right elbow inflammation/right lat strain) could undergo elbow debridement surgery, which would rule out a 2025 return.

Povich (left hip inflammation) is scheduled to start Orioles' series opener in Philadelphia on Aug. 4.

Aaron Nola, Phillies

Nola (right ankle sprain, right rib stress fracture) had a three-inning rehab start with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Aug. 1, the first of at least three rehab starts he'll need before returning to the rotation. He is expected to make his next start on Aug. 6

Jonathan Aranda, Rays

Aranda was placed on the 10-day IL on Aug. 1 with a fractured left wrist sustained on a collision at first base on July 31. He is hopeful he can return in 2025.

Tanner Houck and Marcelo Mayer, Red Sox

Mayer (right wrist sprain) expects to know more about his timeline by Aug. 2 or 3.

Jameson Taillon and Javier Assad, Cubs

Taillon (right calf strain) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Iowa on Aug. 3.

Assad (left oblique strain) is scheduled to make his next rehab start on Aug. 6 for Triple-A Iowa.

Hunter Greene, Reds

Greene (right groin strain) left his July 29 rehab start with leg soreness but has recovered and will pitch again for Triple-A Louisville on Aug. 3.

Byron Buxton, Twins

Buxton (left rib cartilage irritation) is progressing well and hopes to be activated on the first day he is eligible, Aug. 6.

Wilmer Flores, Giants

Flores (left hamstring tightness) departed the Giants' win over the Mets on Aug. 1 after feeling his hamstring tighten up while legging out an infield single. Flores was out of the starting lineup on Aug. 2, but the Giants don't believe the injury will require an IL stint.

Chase Meidroth, White Sox

Meidroth was hit by a pitch in the fifth inning July 30 and stayed in the game, but was replaced at second by Lenyn Sosa in the top of the sixth. X-rays were negative but he remained out of the lineup through Aug. 2.

Antonio Senzatela, Rockies

Senzatela (right middle finger blister) was placed on the injured list on Aug. 2.
