Slide into summer with the Reliant Readers Summer Reading Program!

The Houston Astros Foundation and Reliant have partnered together for the 4th year in a row to stop the “summer slide” that happens too often for our elementary students. We are excited to kick off our SLIDE INTO SUMMER READING program and we invite you to encourage your students to become a RELIANT READER for this upcoming summer. Our goal is to achieve 60,000 reading hours this summer by elementary students in the Greater Houston and surrounding area. Parents/legal guardians of the top 1,000 Reliant Readers qualify for Astros home game tickets on July 28th to celebrate their summer reading achievements.

Join Reliant and the Astros at Daikin Park for the July 28th game against the Washington Nationals as we celebrate the end of summer and recognize the top 1,000 Reliant Readers. Parents/guardians may record your child’s daily reading minutes to qualify:
1. Click the “Register Your Student” button below
2. Enter your information – name email address, phone number, Child’s grade and Child’s school
3. Be on the lookout for weekly emails containing a link to log your child’s book info and reading hours
4. Use the same link to come back anytime to log a new book and your child’s reading hours

Starting on May 16^th, parents/guardians may record reading minutes daily on behalf of their Student Reader until July 13^th.

Reliant Readers Summer Reading Program is available to children in grades Kindergarten through fifth (5th) (“Student Reader”). Parent/legal guardian may record reading minutes daily on behalf of their Student Reader from May 16th until July 13th. The Student Reader’s name will serve as the unique identifier for parent/legal guardian with multiple entries. Two (2) tickets will be provided to the registered parent/legal guardian for use by the parent/legal guardian and each of their unique Student Readers, while supplies last. Tickets will be given to the parent/legal guardian of the top 1,000 unique children/Student Readers. Use of any MLB ticket is subject to the standard terms, conditions, and health and safety policies applicable to the ticket; see Astros.com/ticketback for details. Student Reader must be accompanied to the game by a parent/legal guardian eighteen (18) years of age or older. Tickets are subject to availability. Game dates and exact seat locations shall be determined at the sole discretion of the Houston Astros and may be subject to change. Tickets may not be resold or offered for resale or used in any way for commercial or promotional purpose whatsoever. Student Reader and their parent/legal guardian agree to comply with all applicable ballpark regulations in connection with the tickets.

Open to legal residents of the Greater Houston area of Harris, Fort Bend, Galveston, Waller and Montgomery Counties who are of legal age of majority. Two (2) prizes to be awarded.
