Daikin’s Most Valuable STEAM Scholarship

The Astros Foundation is proud to announce the Daikin’s Most Valuable STEAM Scholarship program, which will award $100,000 to Houston area high school seniors in the 2025 graduating class.

Scholarship Details

  • Application Period: March 3 – April 14, 2025
  • Eligibility:
    • Graduating high school seniors that will be attending a higher education institution upon graduation.
    • Permanent address in one of the following Texas counties:
      • Austin
      • Brazoria
      • Chambers
      • Fort Bend
      • Galveston
      • Harris
      • Liberty
      • Montgomery
      • San Jacinto
      • Walker
      • Waller
      • Wharton
  • Students are required to provide a 300-word essay, 2 letters of recommendation, and proof of acceptance.
  • If selected as a semifinalist, a personal interview will be conducted with the Daikin’s Most Valuable STEAM Scholarship program committee.
  • Scholarship funds awarded to winners must be used for education, such as tuition and related fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses at an accredited educational institution.
  • Winners will be notified via email and announced at a Houston Astros game. They will be invited to a pre-game reception, where they will be presented with a scholarship certificate.
