Misiorowski (left tibia contusion) threw a successful bullpen on Aug. 5 and could return roughly as soon as he is eligible on Aug. 15.

Spencer Arrighetti, Yordan Alvarez and Isaac Paredes, Astros

Arrighetti (right thumb fracture) will be activated to start the Astros' Aug. 6 game against the Marlins.

Alvarez (right hand fracture) took batting practice on the field in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Aug. 5.

Paredes (right hamstring strain) has chosen not to undergo surgery, and the Astros are hopeful that with rest and rehab he may return in 2025.

Michael King, Padres

King (right shoulder/long thoracic nerve injury) pitched 3 1/3 innings in a Triple-A rehab start on Aug. 3, and could make his next start with the Padres.

Byron Buxton, Twins

Buxton (left rib cartilage irritation) is progressing well but will not return at least until the Twins' next homestand, which begins on Aug. 8.

Zach Eflin and Grayson Rodriguez, Orioles

Eflin (low back discomfort) received an epidural shot and there is no set timetable for his return.

Rodriguez (right elbow inflammation/right lat strain) will undergo elbow debridement surgery and miss the remainder of the 2025 season.

Roman Anthony and Marcelo Mayer, Red Sox

Anthony (mid-back tightness) plans to be back in the lineup for the Aug. 6 series finale against the Royals.

Mayer (right wrist sprain) has shown improvement and is hopeful he can return before the end of the season.

Tommy Edman, Roki Sasaki, Hyeseong Kim and Michael Kopech, Dodgers

Edman (right ankle sprain) was placed on the 10-day injured list Aug. 4. He is expected to return this season, but there's no immediate timeline.

Sasaki (right shoulder impingement) faced hitters for the second time on Aug. 2, throwing two simulated innings in Arizona. He is scheduled to throw three simulated innings Aug. 8 in Los Angeles, and if all goes well, he will begin a rehab assignment afterward.

Kim (left shoulder bursitis) resumed baseball activities on Aug. 4, including swinging a bat, taking grounders and running.

Kopech (right knee meniscectomy) was scheduled for his second bullpen session on Aug. 5.

George Springer, Shane Bieber, Alek Manoah and Andrés Giménez, Blue Jays

Springer (concussion) will begin what should be a brief rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo on Aug. 6.

Bieber (Tommy John surgery) is scheduled to make his second Triple-A rehab start on Aug. 9, with one more likely needed following that. The goal for his upcoming outing will be in the range of 75 pitches.

Manoah (right UCL surgery) threw another bullpen session on Aug. 4.

Giménez (left ankle sprain) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo on Aug. 5.

Alec Bohm, Phillies

Bohm (left rib fracture) will go to Triple-A Lehigh Valley during the Phillies' upcoming road trip to continue his rehab work and/or begin a rehab assignment.

Austin Slater and Jonathan Loáisiga, Yankees

Slater suffered a left hamstring strain on Aug. 4 and was placed on the 10-day injured list on Aug. 5.

Loáisiga was placed on the 15-day injured list on Aug. 3 with mid-back tightness. An MRI performed on Aug. 4 came back "pretty clean," according to manager Aaron Boone.

Jake Burger, Rangers

Burger (left quad strain) took live batting practice at Globe Life Field on Aug. 4. He could be activated later in the Rangers' homestand, which runs through Aug. 13.

Michael Soroka, Cubs

Soroka exited his first start for the Cubs on Aug. 4 after only two innings due to right shoulder discomfort. He was placed on the 15-day IL on Aug. 5.

Gabriel Moreno, Pavin Smith and Kevin Ginkel, D-backs

Moreno (right hand hairline fracture) will begin baseball activities after a CT scan on Aug. 4 showed his hand had healed.

Smith (right oblique strain) was scheduled to take live batting practice on Aug. 5.

Ginkel was placed on the 15-day IL on Aug. 4, retroactive to Aug. 3, with a right shoulder sprain. He will seek more medical opinions, per manager Torey Lovullo.

Gleyber Torres and Reese Olson, Tigers

Torres was scratched on Aug. 5 due to left forearm tightness. He is day to day.

Olson (right shoulder strain) has received a PRP injection and hopes to return to pitch in the 2025 playoffs.

Wilmer Flores, Giants

Flores (left hamstring tightness) departed the Giants' win over the Mets on Aug. 1 after feeling his hamstring tighten up while legging out an infield single. Flores remained out of the starting lineup through Aug. 5, but the Giants don't believe he will require an IL stint.

Chase Meidroth, White Sox

Meidroth was hit by a pitch in the fifth inning July 30 and stayed in the game, but was replaced in the top of the sixth. X-rays were negative but he remained out of the lineup through Aug. 5.
