Who We Are and What We Stand For
The Los Angeles Dodgers organization is built upon tradition, history and a strong foundation of effective teamwork.
We have claimed eight championship titles and 25 pennants since joining the National League in 1890, and our commitment to excellence extends beyond the field. In 2020, we were recognized as ESPN’s Sports Humanitarian Team of the Year.
After 74 years in Brooklyn, including the historic 1947 season in which Jackie Robinson broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier, we moved to Los Angeles in 1958. Our fans continue setting us apart, creating an environment unlike any other in sports. Since our transition to the West Coast, we have led the National League in attendance 35 times. In 1978, we became the first Major League team to attract more than 3 million fans. Since 1901, we have the highest cumulative attendance of any professional sports team. Dodger Stadium has drawn the highest MLB attendance every year since 2013.
