DODGERS ACTIVATE TEOSCAR HERNÁNDEZ
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers activated outfielder Teoscar Hernández and optioned outfielder James Outman to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Hernández, 32, missed 12 games with a right hamstring strain. He made one rehab star, going 0-for-1 with a run scored. He has played 33 games this year, hitting .315 with nine homers and a Major League leading 34 RBI. In two seasons with the Dodgers, he has played 187 games, clubbing 42 homers and driving 133 runs. He has played in 998 games with the Houston Astros (2016-17), Toronto Blue Jays (2017-22), Seattle Mariners (2023) and Dodgers (2024-), hitting .264 with 201 homers and 606 RBI. He re-signed with the Dodgers on January 3, 2025.
Outman, 27, played in nine games in his first stint with the team this year, hitting .125 with two homers and four RBI. Last season, he played 53 games for the Dodgers, clubbing four homers and driving in 11. He has played four seasons with the Dodgers, slashing .227/.333/.407 with 30 homers and 88 RBI. He was drafted in the seventh round of the 2018 First Year Player Draft out of Sacramento State University.
