Dodgers Acquire Will Klein Recall Ryan Loutus

DODGERS ACQUIRE WILL KLEIN, RECALL RYAN LOUTUS

LOS ANGELE**S –** The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired right-handed pitcher Will Klein from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for minor league pitcher Joe Jacques. The Dodgers also recalled right-handed Ryan Loutos and optioned right-handed pitcher Noah Davis. In order to make room on the roster for Klein, the Dodgers designated right-handed pitcher Chris Stratton for assignment.

Klein, 25, made his Major League debut in 2024, allowing nine runs in 7.1 innings between the Royals and Athletics. In 22 appearances with Triple-A Tacoma this season, he was 2-0 with a 7.17 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 21.1 innings. In five minor league seasons, he is 13-9 with a 5.34 ERA in 175 games. He was drafted by the Royals in 2020 First Year Player Draft out of Eastern Illinois University in the fifth round.

Loutos, 26, pitched one inning for the Dodgers, allowing two runs on three hits in his first stint with the club. He has pitched 3.1 innings in his career, allowing two runs on five hits with one strikeout. Over five minor league seasons, he owns a 4.68 ERA with 256 strikeouts in 231 innings. He was an undrafted free agent signed by the Cardinals in 2021.

Davis, 27, tossed two innings last night, striking out two in two scoreless innings. In Triple-A Oklahoma City, he was 2-0 with a 5.75 ERA in 14 games. He has been in the Major Leagues parts of four seasons with the Colorado Rockies (2022-24) and Dodgers (2025), going 0-5 with a 7.55 ERA in 22 games. The Southern California native was originally drafted by the Reds in the 11th round of the 2018 First Year Player Draft out of UC Santa Barbara.

Jacques, 30, was 1-1 with a 6.04 ERA in 18 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City. The southpaw made his Major League debut in 2023 with the Red Sox and in parts of two seasons, he is 2-1 with a 5.46 ERA in 25 career games. He was signed by the Dodgers as a Minor League free agent on November 17, 2024.
