Ali Miguel Sánchez...Signed by the New York Mets as an international free agent in July 2013...Initially played shortstop, but converted to a catcher as a teenager, prior to signing with the Mets...Listed as the New York Mets' 15th-ranked prospect entering the 2016 season according to MLB Pipeline, as well as 21st in 2017, 27th in 2018, 30th in 2019, 26th in 2020 and 25th in 2021 for the St. Louis Cardinals.

2024

Appeared in a career-high 31 games for the Marlins, batting. 167 (14-for-84) with a pair of doubles, four RBI, four walks and 24 strikeouts...Spent the majority of the campaign at Triple-A...Began the season with the Cubs organization, playing with Triple-A Iowa, before being dealt to the Marlins in June...Split the rest of the season between the Majors and Triple-A...Played in 48 contests at the Triple-A level, batting .226 (35-for-155) with 12 doubles, three home runs, 22 RBI, a .310 OBP and a .671 OPS...Between both levels, combined to bat .205 with 14 doubles, three home runs, 26 RBI, 8.1% walk rate and a 21.9% strikeout rate...Behind the plate, recorded six blocks above average at the Major League level, while throwing out nine of 34 attempted base stealers (26.5%).

2023

Attended Spring Training as a non-roster invitee with Arizona…Spent the entire season with Triple-A Reno, where he established career-highs as a Minor Leaguer in batting, home runs and RBI…Made just one error in 460 total chances in 427.2 innings behind the plate…Threw out 22 runners attempting to steal against him, which ranked third among all backstops in the Pacific Coast League.

2022

Combined to hit .262 (66-for-252)/.354 OBP with 14 doubles, six home runs, 33 RBI and 35 walks over 74 games between Triple-A Memphis and Toledo... Designated for assignment by the Cardinals on June 15 and claimed off waivers by the Tigers on June 18.

2021

Was recalled from Memphis (AAA) twice during the season and played in one game each time, both the second game of a doubleheader...Hit safely in both games played, cracking a double in each game and did not strike out in four total plate appearances...Started at catcher vs. NYM (5/5 - Game 2) and caught for starting pitcher Johan Oviedo. Played the entire game and was 1-for-3 with a double... Played in 70 games for Memphis (AAA) starting 63 at catcher while appearing at first base for two innings and was designated hitter for three games... Ran off a nine-game hitting streak (6/23-7/7) which included three three-hit games while batting .500 (10-20) with a home run, two doubles and three RBI... Had a season-high four hits (4-for-5, 2B, 3 RBI) vs. Gwinnett (7/30)...Threw out 53.3% of attempted base stealers (16 CS/30 SB ATT) while at Memphis... Batted .300 (27-90) with 2 HR, 12 RBI and four doubles in 23 games for Lara in his first season playing in the Venezuela Winter League.

Played in five games and made four starts, three of those on the back-end of a doubleheader...Made his Major League debut vs. WSH (8/10) entering the game defensively in the top of the 7th inning. Went on an 18-game hitting streak from June 1-27, marking the longest such streak in the Eastern League on the season...Batted .406 (26-64) with seven doubles and nine RBI in that span... Caught 31 of 70 attempted base stealers (44.3 percent).
