Placed on IL

The High-A Great Lakes Loons placed De Paula on the 7-day injured list on July 26, three days after he was removed from their July 23 game after one at-bat. The nature of the injury was not disclosed. (Last updated: July 29)

No. 90 Mike Sirota, OF, Dodgers
Injury: Right knee
Expected return: TBD
Sirota has been sidelined since exiting High-A Great Lakes' July 5 game after an awkward slide in the sixth inning. The Loons placed him on the 7-day injured list and transferred him to the 60-day IL on July 13. He won't be eligible to return until the last regular-season series in early September. Acquired in the Gavin Lux deal last winter, the 2024 third-rounder performed very well in his first season in the Dodgers' system, producing a .333/452/.616 slash line with 13 home runs in 59 games across Single-A and High-A. No. 26 Braden Montgomery, OF, White Sox
Promoted to Double-A
Montgomery continues to move up the ladder, with MLB.com's Scott Merkin reporting that the 2024 first-rounder (12th overall) is headed to Double-A. The switch-hitter has compiled a slash line of .269/.358/.445 with 11 homers between Single-A Kannapolis and High-A Winston-Salem in his debut season. The 2025 All-Star Futures Game AL starter has been particularly effective from the right side (.938 OPS). (Last updated: July 27)

No. 11 Jordan Lawlar, INF, D-backs
Injury: Hamstring
Expected return: Late July/early August
Lawlar was removed from his start on June 25 after his first at-bat for Triple-A Reno. Arizona's top-ranked prospect showed no signs of limping when returning to the dugout after a groundout to short in his first-inning plate appearance on Wednesday, but did miss the previous four games while dealing with a sore hamstring. Lawlar landed on Reno's 7-day injured list on June 26 and is expected to be out around four weeks. (Last updated: June 27)

Injury: Right knee discomfort

Schultz was warming up for his start for Triple-A Charlotte on July 19, got five or six pitches into his warmup and reportedly started showing discomfort. It's been a rough go of things since being promoted to the Minors' highest level, but the southpaw has compiled 71 strikeouts in 68 innings overall this season. (Last updated: July 19)

Injury: Lower back stress reaction
Expected return: August or September
Back spasms threw a wrench into Salas' early-season plans, and he hasn’t appeared in game action since April 17. San Diego general manager A.J. Preller told MLB.com's AJ Cassavell that the 18-year-old has been diagnosed with a lower back stress reaction. The Padres were optimistic his recovery would simply require rest and wouldn't impact his development much, aside from the missed games, initially projecting a late July return. But Salas' injury has been slow to heal, per reports, pushing back that timeline. (Last updated: July 22)

After an MRI unveiled a torn UCL, the right-hander will undergo UCL reconstruction in two weeks, the club announced. Sykora left his July 5 start after one inning due to lower right triceps soreness and has not pitched in a game since. The 21-year-old had been one of the Minors most dominant pitchers this season, registering a 1.79 ERA across 12 starts and reaching Double-A. (Last updated: July 28)

No. 28 Chase DeLauter, OF, Guardians
Injury: Right wrist surgery
Expected return: Six to eight weeks
DeLauter, who had been sidelined with right wrist pain since July 11, was diagnosed with a hook of the hamate fracture and underwent hand surgery on July 23, the Guardians announced. Return to play timeframes following hamate fracture excision surgery in position players are typically six to eight weeks, the team said, possibly sidelining DeLauter for the remainder of the regular season. The 23-year-old outfielder was in the midst of a standout season at Triple-A, reaching base in all 34 contests he played in at the level and posting an .859 OPS with seven homers. Expected return: 2026
Detroit's 2024 first-round pick will undergo season-ending surgery after dislocating his shoulder diving back to first base in a June 3 game for Single-A Lakeland. He slashed .288/.383/.448 with a 134 wRC+ in 35 games this season. Rainer is expected to be a full participant in Spring Training next year. (Last updated: June 6)

Injury: Right oblique strain

Rodriguez landed on Triple-A St. Paul's 7-day injured list on July 18 with a right oblique strain. The 22-year-old was removed mid-at-bat in the third inning of the Saints' July 12 game when he suffered an injury on a swing. He previously missed several weeks with a right hip strain and returned from a rehab assignment for that injury on July 1. The center fielder is slashing .273/.423/.430 across 51 games this season -- his second-highest total across five professional seasons. (Last updated: July 18)

Injury: Right elbow discomfort/left oblique strain

The 2023 seventh overall pick is expected to resume throwing the week of July 21, Reds manager Terry Francona told reporters. Lowder has been limited to four starts this season (7 1/3 total innings) due to a preseason elbow injury and a left oblique strain suffered in a May 22 rehab start with Triple-A Louisville. Injury: Nondisplaced fracture of his right forearm
Expected return: Late July/early August
Keaschall began a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul on July 18. The 2023 second-rounder suffered a fractured right ulna bone when he was hit by a pitch in an April 25 game with the Twins that did not require surgery but did land him on the 60-day injured list. Keaschall went to the Twins' complex in Florida to face live pitching before the start of his Minor League rehab assignment. (Last updated: July 18)

Injury: Sprained left thumb
Expected return: August
Moore went on the 10-day injured list on July 3 after spraining his left thumb while diving for a ball in the previous day's game. Moore's thumb bent back awkwardly on the play, but he didn't tear a ligament or suffer an injury that requires surgery. The 2024 eighth overall Draft pick said he hopes to be back in action within a week or two, but the injury lingered later in the month and there is no concrete timeline for his return. Moore's batting .189 with a .698 OPS, three homers and eight RBIs over the first 18 games of his Major League career. (Last updated: July 22)

Injury: Grade 1 UCL sprain
Continuing High-A rehab assignment
Susana, one of the Minors' hardest throwers, was shut down in May with a Grade 1 sprain of his ulnar collateral ligament, ultimately avoiding surgery. He's been eased back in with High-A Wilmington, after starting second six games for Double-A Harrisburg to the tune of a 4.15 ERA with 38 strikeouts in 26 innings at the start of the year. No. 62 Jonny Farmelo, OF, Mariners
Injury: Rib stress reaction
Expected return: Mid-August
Farmelo missed the start of the season as he recovered from a torn right ACL that prematurely ended his 2024 campaign. He's been sidelined since June 3 with a stress reaction in his rib that could ultimately result in him missing two months. Farmelo recently resumed baseball activity, including taking full swings, Mariners general manager Justin Hollander told reporters, projecting he could return to game action by mid-August. When healthy, Farmelo has delivered a .959 OPS across 15 games for High-A Everett, including a homer in his first game back on April 29. (Last updated: July 22)

No. 65 Jeferson Quero, C, Brewers
Injury: Left shoulder strain
Expected return: Late August
Quero was pulled early from Triple-A Nashville’s game on July 23 after feeling something in his left arm during a swipe tag. The issue was later diagnosed as a mild left shoulder strain, and the Brewers announced the backstop would miss three to four weeks. Quero missed almost the entirety of the 2024 season with a torn labrum in his right shoulder and started this campaign on the IL with a hamstring injury as he continued to build up the other shoulder.
