While the Brewers’ Major League rotation continues to have its depth tested, the organization’s top pitching prospect keeps proving why he’s MLB-ready.
The latest two checked boxes for Jacob Misiorowski: the longest start of his professional career and the fastest Statcast-recorded pitch by a Triple-A Nashville hurler in the last three seasons.
MLB Pipeline’s No. 72 overall prospect struck out five and allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk over seven innings in Nashville’s 3-1 win over Memphis at AutoZone Park.

The seven frames bested Misiorowski’s previous high of 6 2/3 innings, set in his most recent outing at home against Norfolk on May 9. This latest gem required only 86 pitches (58 strikes and 10 whiffs).
That’s a huge milestone for a 6-foot-7 right-hander whose biggest knock entering 2025 concerned his command and control, two issues that had led to plentiful walks and shorter starts through the first two years of Misiorowski’s career. Following Thursday, the 2022 second-rounder has issued one walk or fewer in four of his last five starts for Nashville. He has a 0.59 ERA and 0.72 WHIP over that five-game stretch and has struck out 38 and walked seven over 30 2/3 innings in that span.

Through nine outings on the season as a whole, Misiorowski leads all Triple-A hurlers with 59 strikeouts and 49 1/3 innings pitched. His 1.46 ERA is tied with Joe Boyle for the best at the Minors’ top level, while his .151 average-against ranks second and his 0.89 WHIP third.
But the highlight of the righty’s young season came with two outs in the sixth inning Thursday.
Facing Memphis cleanup hitter Luken Baker with two runners in scoring position, Misiorowski threw six straight four-seam fastballs, all at triple-digits. The final came with plenty of adrenaline – a 103.0 mph heater that blew past Baker’s swing at the top of the zone. It was the fastest pitch recorded by a Nashville hurler since Statcast was first used across all of Triple-A in 2023. For reference, the fastest pitch ever thrown by a Brewer in the Majors in the Statcast Era (since 2015) was Abner Uribe’s 103.3 mph four-seamer on Aug. 23, 2023.
Misiorowski touched 100+ nine different times and averaged 98.3 mph on his fastball on the afternoon. He also mixed in his mid-90s slider, mid-80s curveball and upper-80s changeup, getting two or more whiffs on each offering. His lone blemish came when Thomas Saggese hit a solo homer with one out in the first inning on a 2-0 fastball.
Ten different pitchers have made Major League starts for the Brewers already this season. Six starters in total have hit the injured list since the beginning of Spring Training, the most recent being Jose Quintana who joined the IL with a left shoulder impingement Wednesday. That should open more looks for No. 12 prospect Logan Henderson, who got the win in Wednesday’s 9-5 victory in Cleveland. But even though Misiorowski doesn’t yet hold a spot on the 40-man roster, his continued domination and improved control should keep him in the conversation for future rotation spots if and when they become available.
