Astros, Rangers team up to support Central Texas flood victims

July 11th, 2025

Prior to Friday's game at Daikin Park, players, coaches and staff from Houston Astros and Texas Rangers will wear special shirts during batting practice to show support for those affected by the devastating flooding in Central Texas during the Fourth of July weekend.

The shirts will feature logos from both clubs along with the words “Together For Texas.” Tonight’s game is the first of a three-game, weekend series between the Astros and Rangers. While the clubs will continue their battle for the Silver Boot, both teams have stepped up with significant commitments to provide relief support for the community.

On Monday, the Astros announced a commitment of $1.0 million to support relief efforts for those impacted by the flooding. The Astros will support immediate relief efforts and needs of our neighbors in Central Texas in the short term, along with supporting long-term efforts around one of the core pillars of the Astros Foundation - youth initiatives.

Beyond the initial investment, the Astros Foundation has launched a fan-based initiative to mobilize our passionate fan base. Fans can visit astros.com/floodrelief now to give. Together, we will provide resources to ensure our Central Texas neighbors have the sustained support they need to rebuild and recover.

Additionally, proceeds from the Share2Care 50/50 raffle held during Astros during five of the games on the current six-game homestand will be dedicated to the Astros Central Texas Relief Fund.
