Pride Month

The Cleveland Guardians are excited to celebrate and honor Pride Month! Throughout June, the Cleveland Guardians will be participating in local Pride Month festivities to celebrate and uplift the LGBTQ+ community in Cleveland. The celebration will include our annual Pride Celebration presented by Nestlé at Progressive Field on Friday, June 6.

As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure everyone has a chance to be part of our game, the Guardians work in partnership with local community organizations to provide learning and education to our staff and teammates throughout the entire year. We know that jewel events like Pride Night allow us to intentionally spotlight the collective stories of hope, struggle, and opportunity that make our city and team better.

Game-Day Celebration & Theme Night Ticket Packages

Friday, June 6 – Pride Night Celebration presented by Nestlé

Join the Guardians for a night of education and celebration for all fans.

  • Ceremonial First Pitch and on-field ceremony recognizing the 50th anniversary of the LGBT Center
  • National Anthem performance by North Coast Men’s Chorus
  • On-field recognition of the Plexus NextGen LGBTQ+ Leaders
  • Game ball delivery from Michael Richmond, Owner of Michael’s Bakeshop
  • Photo opportunities throughout the concourse
  • Special fan giveaways from the Cleveland Strikers
  • In-game content highlighting Pride resources on the scoreboard
  • Summer of Pride-themed Phantom Fireworks show presented by Nestlé

Fans can upgrade their experience and purchase a Theme Night ticket for the June 6 game to receive a limited-edition jersey featuring the “Pride C” logo. A portion of the proceeds from each Theme Night ticket purchase will benefit the Plexus Business Inclusion Club.

Team Store

The Guardians Team Store at Progressive Field will be celebrating Pride Month with Guardians Pride merchandise. Fans can pick from assorted novelties, headwear and apparel.

Community Events

Saturday, June 7 – Pride in the CLE

The Guardians are a proud partner of Pride in the CLE. Members of the Guardians front office will be marching in solidarity with the LGBT community center and members of the community in the annual parade. The Guardians will also be at the Pride in the CLE Festival with giveaways and prizes!

  • Plexus LGBTQ+ Allied Chamber of Commerce
    Plexus is the voice for the LGBTQ and allied business communities in Northeast Ohio and one of the 60 affiliates of the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) in the U.S. As the only LGBTQ-focused business organization in Northeast Ohio, Plexus allows for exposure, connections and opportunities unlike those of any other professional group.

  • Near West Theatre
    Near West Theatre builds loving relationships and engages diverse people in strengthening their sense of identity, passion, and purpose, individually and in community, through accessible, affordable and transformational theatre arts experiences.

  • Cleveland LGBTQ+ Center
    Since 1975, The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland has been serving the needs of the LGBT+ community in Northeastern Ohio. The mission of the center is to enrich the lives of the diverse LGBTQ+ community through advocacy, support, education and celebration.

  • Athlete Ally
    Athlete Ally believes that everyone should have equal access, opportunity, and experience in sports — regardless of your sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. Their mission is to end homophobia and transphobia in sport and to activate the athletic community to exercise their leadership to champion LGBTQI+ equality. We are an organized group of citizens who live and/or work in Brecksville / Broadview Heights. Comprised of LGBTQ+ persons and allies, we are actively working to create a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment for the LGBTQ+ community.

CLE Inspires

Cleveland Guardians social platform, CLE Inspires, will highlight different Pride initiatives throughout the month of June. CLE Inspires will focus on the work done by our community partners.

Additionally, CLE Inspires will share highlights from the Cleveland Guardians Pride Night celebration on Friday, June 6.
