Injury: Right forearm contusion

Status: Smith-Shawver’s right forearm was heavily wrapped on April 30 after he took a 105.3 mph line drive off it the night before at Colorado. He said there is no structural damage and his arm feels fine. (Last updated: April 30) More >>
RHP Spencer Strider
Injury: Right hamstring strain
IL date: April 21 (Retroactive to April 18)
Expected return: Second half of May
Status: Strider strained his hamstring while playing catch on April 21. The Braves will get a better feel for his timetable when he is re-evaluated next week. The good news is he suffered a Grade 1 strain. (Last updated: April 25)
INF Nacho Alvarez Jr.
Injury: Left wrist inflammation
IL date: March 25 (Retroactive to March 24)
Expected return: May
Status: Opened season on 10-day injured list, transferred to 60-day IL on April 23. Remained in Florida to rehab. (Last updated: April 23)
RF Ronald Acuña Jr.
Injury: Torn left ACL
IL date: March 25 (Retroactive to March 24)
Expected return: First half of May
Status: Acuña underwent tests in Los Angeles on April 14 and he “passed everything,” according to manager Brian Snitker. Acuña will return to Florida to ramp up his strength and conditioning before going out on a rehab assignment. (Last updated: April 15)

Injury: Right shoulder inflammation

Status: No structural damage found during arthroscopic surgery April 8. Shut down 12 weeks then further evaluated. The Braves think there's a chance he could pitch this season. (Last updated: April 8) More >>
RHP Joe Jiménez
Injury: Left knee surgery
IL date: March 25 (Retroactive to March 24)
Expected return: Will not return before August and could miss all of 2025
Status: Doctors found significant cartilage damage while evaluating the setup man’s knee in October. He was placed on the 15-day injured list on March 25 (backdated to March 24). (Last updated: March 25)
