The Mariners on Wednesday placed outfielder Luke Raley on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to Monday, with a right oblique strain. Outfielder Rhylan Thomas was selected from Triple-A Tacoma to take his place, and to make room on the 40-man roster, right-hander Sauryn Lao was designated for assignment.
