The stars were out across Minor League Baseball, with the sport's top prospect, Roman Anthony, leading the way. Fellow Top 10 prospects Bubba Chandler, Leo De Vries, Sebastian Walcott and Jac Caglianone all stood out, while a number of other Top 100s came through with big-time performances. Roman Anthony, OF, Worcester (BOS No. 1/MLB No. 1)
Anthony flashed his power and his fielding prowess as he continues his strong play for Triple-A Worcester. After seeing teammate and No. 8 overall prospect Marcelo Mayer get the call to Boston earlier in the day, Anthony launched a 116 mph homer to lead off the second game of the WooSox's doubleheader and also made a leaping catch at the wall to take away extra bases. Bubba Chandler, RHP, Indianapolis (PIT No. 1/MLB No. 2)
Chandler turned in yet another ace-like performance, carrying a no-hitter into the seventh inning before a single and a walk brought his evening to a close after 6 1/3 innings. Both runs were charged to the 22-year-old, who struck out five in his longest outing since completing seven frames last Aug. 9. Chandler's ERA inched up to 2.27 but his WHIP fell to 1.08 in 10 starts. Gameday
Leo De Vries, SS, Fort Wayne (SD No. 1/MLB No. 3)
De Vries snapped out of a two-week slump with his first three-hit performance since April 29. The 18-year-old doubled twice, singled, walked and scored a run to break a 6-for-37 skid to lift his average back up to .279. Despite an uneven May, De Vries still owns a .841 OPS, 16 extra-base hits, 26 runs scored and 22 RBIs in 36 games for High-A Fort Wayne. Gameday
Sebastian Walcott, SS/3B, Frisco (TEX No. 1/MLB No. 9)
Walcott is beginning to heat up again for Double-A Frisco, connecting on his sixth homer of the year and driving in two runs while falling a triple shy of the cycle. The 19-year-old has hit safely in five of his past six games, going 7-for-27 with five extra-base hits, two jacks and five RBIs in that span. Gameday
Jac Caglianone, 1B/OF, Omaha (KC No. 1/MLB No. 10)
It took Caglianone until his final at-bat in the eighth inning, but the 22-year-old kept his roundtripper streak going with a long two-run jack. The Florida product has gone deep in three consecutive games for Triple-A Omaha and became the first Minor Leaguer to reach 50 RBIs this season. Caglianone is slashing .318/.384/.572 with 12 jacks across two Minor League levels. Full story | Gameday
Lazaro Montes, OF, Everett (SEA No. 2/MLB No. 36)
Montes once again took hold of the High-A Northwest League home run lead, clubbing his 10th of the season as part of a three-hit, two-RBI night for the AquaSox. The 20-year-old is batting .274 with 22 extra-base hits, 29 RBIs and also leads the circuit in slugging (.567) and OPS (.955). Gameday
Jurrangelo Cijntje, RHP/LHP, Everett (SEA No. 8/MLB No. 92)
Cijntje completed six innings for a second consecutive start and added a career-high seven strikeouts to continue his strong month. The switch-pitcher yielded two runs on three hits, lowering his batting average against to .170. Cijntje has a 2.05 ERA and an 0.95 WHIP in four starts in May, continuing a trend where he performs better kicking off games rather than relieving. The Mississippi State product sports a 2.17 ERA, a 1.02 WHIP and 39 strikeouts in 37 1/3 innings as a starter. Gameday
Eduardo Tait, C, Clearwater (PHI No. 4/MLB No. 77)
Tait piled up the hits for Single-A Clearwater, tallying a season-high four knocks and driving in three runs. The 18-year-old has been a productive player for the Threshers, one who has gone 9-for-23 (.391) over his past five games and is batting .285/.325/.497 with 17 extra-base hits and 26 RBIs overall. Colson Montgomery, SS, Charlotte (CWS No. 6)
Montgomery's tough season took a major upswing in his latest outing, which ended up as the best performance of his pro career. The 2021 first-rounder launched a pair of homers, doubled twice and reached base five times during his first four-hit game as a pro. Gameday
Luis Morales, RHP, Las Vegas (ATH No. 4)
It was quite the first impression for Morales, who twirled six hitless innings and faced one over the minimum in his Triple-A debut for Las Vegas. The 22-year-old struck out seven and retired the first 11 batters of the game before yielding his only baserunner on a walk in the fourth. Morales was 3-1 with a 2.98 ERA, a 1.02 WHIP and 53 punchouts in eight starts spanning 42 1/3 innings for Double-A Midland. Full story | Gameday
