Injury: Torn labrum in left shoulder
IL date: Aug. 30 (10-day IL)
Expected return: 2026
Status: Diagnosed with a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Surgery will take place in October after the bone heals before operating on the labrum itself. If all goes well, he could be cleared for all baseball activities in early March. (Updated: Sept. 10)

Injury: Right UCL sprain
IL date: March 27 (retroactive to March 24; transferred to 60-day IL on March 31)
Expected return: 2026
Status: Visited with surgeon of record Dr. Keith Meister on Sept. 2 and was cleared to begin a formal throwing program. Jones has started playing catch at 45 feet. (updated Sept. 10) More >>

Injury: Dislocated left shoulder
IL date: May 9 (transferred to 60-day IL on May 14)
Expected return: 2026
Status: Playing catch out to 110 feet. Will not begin hitting until the offseason. The Pirates had hoped he could play games starting in October, but that is now questionable. (updated Sept. 10)

C
Injury: Right elbow inflammation
IL date: June 7 (transferred to 60-day IL on June 13)
Expected return: 2026
Status: Underwent an ulnar nerve transposition surgery performed by Drs. Neal ElAttrache and Steve Shin at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Aug. 12. Got his post-op sutures removed and has regained full range of motion in the elbow. Expected to be ready for Spring Training. (updated Aug. 27)
