White, who ranks as MLB Pipeline’s No. 31 overall prospect, went 2-2 with a 2.83 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP in nine starts for High-A Beloit, the same affiliate he finished his 2024 season with. White struck out 53, walked 17 and permitted no homers in 35 innings for the Sky Carp.
After missing a couple turns through the rotation in May for precautionary reasons while dealing with left index finger soreness, White scattered five hits, walked one batter and struck out 16 across 10 innings of two-run ball in three starts.
White has climbed the prospect rankings and progressed through the system since being selected in Competitive Balance Round A (35th overall) in the 2023 MLB Draft. He helped Single-A Jupiter capture its first Florida State League title in 2023, then garnered Midwest Prospect of the Year and an invitation to the All-Star Futures Game in his first pro season in ‘24.
The 20-year-old southpaw becomes the second Top 10 prospect in Miami’s system to move up a level, joining catcher Joe Mack (No. 98 overall), who went from Double-A Pensacola to Triple-A Jacksonville on April 22.
