Here are Wednesday's top prospect performances from the Minors

June 12th, 2025

There was plenty of offense to go around with plenty of familiar names coming through at the plate, including a handful of Top 100 talent. Pirates teen sensation Konnor Griffin continued his hot-hitting ways at High-A while a pair of Big Apple youngsters flexed their muscles at Double-A. Out west, a pair of AL West prospects delivered big-time efforts, and one flirted with the cycle for a second consecutive night.

Konnor Griffin, SS/OF, Greensboro (PIT No. 2/MLB No. 34)
Only two games at High-A and Griffin has fit right in. The 19-year-old turned in a nearly identical performance to his Greensboro debut with a pair of doubles, two runs scored and an RBI. Griffin, who reached base three times and swiped a base, is slashing .341/.398/.548 with 25 extra-base hits, 52 runs, 38 RBIs and 27 steals in 52 games across two levels during his debut season. George Lombard Jr., SS/2B, Somerset (NYY No. 1/MLB No. 41)
Lombard put together a big day during Double-A Somerset's doubleheader, tallying four hits in eight at-bats over the two contests. He did the most damage in the second one, clubbing a two-run jack -- his first for the Patriots -- ahead of a homer by the Yankees' No. 2 prospect, Spencer Jones. Lombard has gone 8-for-19 (.421) during a five-game hitting streak. Full story | Gameday

Jett Williams, SS/OF, Binghamton (NYM No. 1/MLB No. 48)
Williams snapped out of a recent power drought, clubbing homers in consecutive at-bats after not going deep since May 16 for his first multihomer game as a pro. The 14th overall pick in the 2022 Draft reached base in three of his four plate appearances, walking for the sixth time in eight games. Coming off an injury-plagued 2024 campaign, Williams is batting .288 with a .894 OPS, 23 extra-base hits and 17 steals in 51 games as the Rumble Ponies' leadoff hitter. Gameday

Christian Moore, 2B, Salt Lake (LAA No. 1/MLB No. 56)
Moore's promotion to Triple-A has seemed to bring out the best in the 22-year-old, who continues to scald the ball for Salt Lake. Moore homered for the second straight day, drove in three runs and reached base three times during his third multihit performance in three games. The Tennessee product is batting .350 with a .999 OPS and nine extra-base hits, four homers and 18 RBIs in his first 20 Triple-A games. Gameday

Harry Ford, C, Tacoma (SEA No. 5/MLB No. 63)
A red-hot May that included a .411/.475/.644 slash line has given way to a cooler June, but Ford broke out in a big way for Triple-A Tacoma with a career-high six RBIs. The 22-year-old's second grand slam as a pro did most of the damage, but he added a two-run double later in the contest to cap his performance. Ford is slashing .312/.425/.476 with 17 extra-base hits, seven homers and 36 RBIs in 49 games. Gameday

Brice Matthews, SS/3B, Sugar Land (HOU No. 1)
Matthews came within a double of the cycle for the second consecutive game for Triple-A Sugar Land. The 23-year-old is 6-for-10 with two walks, five RBIs and five runs in the past two games after opening June 3-for-25. Matthews' second straight three-hit performance increased his OPS to .875. Kash Mayfield, LHP, Lake Elsinore (SD No. 3)
San Diego's first-round pick (24th overall) in last year's Draft has found his footing after an inconsistent first six weeks of his pro career. Mayfield struck out six of the nine batters he faced for Single-A Lake Elsinore during his third consecutive perfect outing, which was interrupted by a three-week break due to left-shoulder soreness. The 20-year-old has retired 18 consecutive batters in that stretch, striking out 13 of them. Gameday
