China Basin Commemorative Bricks

China Basin Commemorative Bricks

The commemorative messages from the original tiles will be inscribed on bricks and installed in the pedestrian walkway of the Bay Trail, located near the Willie McCovey statue. The bricks will be placed in a wave pattern and will vary in color to complement the aesthetics of the park. Construction is slated to begin in mid-February, and is projected to be completed by the Giants home opener on April 4, 2025. Once the brick locator is live, we will include a map of the brick locations for easy finding.

Note: China Basin Park is on public property and under a lease agreement, ensuring the bricks will be in place for at least 25 years.

The original China Basin Park served as an important extension of the Giants’ presence along McCovey Cove for nearly 20 years. As we enter the next chapter in the evolution of the area south of the ballpark, it will continue to do so, supporting the transformation of a new neighborhood and destination for the entire community. The park is now open to the public with regular programming taking place. Additional information about the park and neighborhood can be found at missionrock.com.

For project updates, China Basin Park commemorative message holders can confirm their contact information with missionrock@sfgiants.com. Please provide full name, email, phone number and the original inscription.
