CINCINNATI – Trying to play multiple innings through a heavy downpour, the Reds and Diamondbacks eventually had to stop a 3-3 game through six innings. Play was suspended after an approximately 44-minute rain delay, and the game will be resumed on Saturday at 2:10 p.m. ET.
Saturday's regularly scheduled game will begin approximately 40 minutes after the suspended game ends, but not prior to 4:10 p.m. Fans holding tickets for Friday night’s game may receive a discount on tickets for Saturday’s by presenting their tickets at the Great American Ball Park ticket windows.
Gates for Tyler Stephenson City Connect Bobblehead distribution will open for season ticket members at 12:10 p.m. and the general public at 12:40 p.m.
Tickets purchased for Saturday’s game scheduled for 4:10 p.m. are valid for both the conclusion of the postponed game and the originally scheduled game.

Arizona had a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning when Cincinnati's Christian Encarnacion-Strand hit a game-tying one-out solo home run to center field on a 1-0 breaking ball from reliever Cristian Mena. The Reds later had runners on the corners with two outs before Mena escaped the jam and play was halted.
The Diamondbacks went up, 3-0, on consecutive pitches from Reds starter Nick Lodolo in the top of the third inning. Ketel Marte belted a two-run homer to make it 2-0, and Geraldo Perdomo followed on Lodolo’s next pitch with his seventh homer to the seats in left-center.
With one out in the bottom of the third inning vs. Arizona starter Eduardo Rodriguez, TJ Friedl made it a one-run game with a two-run homer to right field, his fifth of the season.
