D-backs Race Against Cancer 5K

Registration

  • Start time for the 5K is 7:15AM Arizona Time

5K Registration: $50 + fees for all ages until September 19, 2025, and $60 + fees after September 19, 2025.

  • Includes a commemorative race shirt, drawstring bag, finisher medal, and chip timing for the race. Race participants that register before September 15 will receive one (1) free upper-level ticket to attend a Diamondbacks game from September 15-17 vs. the Giants!

All participants must register by 5:00PM. Arizona Time on Saturday, September 27.

  • All participants must be pre-registered. THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION AVAILABLE.

All 5K participants must wear their assigned bib numbers during the event.

Team registration is welcomed.

There are limited registration spaces available. Once we have reached capacity, registration will close.

Registration fees are non-refundable and only transferable until September 24.

Fundraising

Whether it be screening tools to assist with an earlier diagnosis, innovative treatment options for those currently facing cancer or a support system for the entire family, the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation is committed to funding organizations through the Diamondbacks Race Against Cancer that are making a real difference for Arizona's cancer warriors. We are challenging you, Diamondbacks fans, to help us make a positive change in the lives of those impacted by cancer. Whether you can join us on September 28 or not, set a personal fundraising goal in honor or memory of someone who has faced or is currently facing cancer or just because you believe in the cause.

Fundraising Incentives

To be considered for incentive gifts, fundraising must be completed by 11:59 PM Arizona time on September 27, 2025. Fundraisers will receive their incentive items within 2 to 4 weeks after the Diamondbacks Race Against Cancer event.

Each fundraiser will receive only the rewards from the highest fundraising threshold they reach (i.e. an individual who raises $100 will only receive the $100 package; not the $100 package, $50 package and $25 package). Must be 18 years of age or older to receive incentive gifts.

$251 - $500

  • Four lower-level Dugout Reserve tickets to a 2026 Diamondbacks regular season home game*
  • Diamondbacks Mystery Autographed Baseball

More than $500

  • Four on-field credentials to watch batting practice before the game*

Corporate Group Rate

Does your company want to participate in the Diamondbacks Race Against Cancer presented by Dignity Health Cancer Institute as a team builder or as part of a health and wellness program? If you register 50 or more employees for the 5K, you can save $10 per registration.

Here’s how it works:

  • Determine how many employees want to participate (50 or more)
  • Contact us to set up your team and we will invoice your company and provide a unique complimentary registration code for each of your employee runners
  • Create your team on dbacks.com/race
  • You can forward the unique code to each employee and they can register for your company team at dbacks.com/race without paying individually

Packet Pick-Up

Early packet pick-up will be available on September 15, 16, 17, 26 and 27 at Chase Field.

September 15 - ONLY FOR GUESTS WITH GAME TICKET

Packet pick-up will be available at Chase Field during the game on September 15. Use your free ticket as a chance to stop by Section 126-127 to pick up your items. Packet pick up will be available from 5:00PM until the 7th inning. No group/ team pick up will be available on this day.

September 16 - ONLY FOR GUESTS WITH GAME TICKET

6:00AM – 6:45AM

Chase Field Plaza at 4th Street & Jackson

Packet pick up will be available beginning at 6:00AM on race day. The pick-up area will be located on the Chase Field plaza next to the ticket windows at 4th Street & Jackson.

Team Pick-Up

Team captains are welcome to pick up packets for their teams on September 26 or September 27. If you are picking up for a group of 20 or more, please email dbacksfoundation@dbacks.com with your team name, and the date and time you plan to arrive so we can have your items ready.

Course Rules & Regulations

  • We welcome wheelchairs, strollers & wagons.
  • Only registered participants are allowed on the run/walk course.
  • No roller blades, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed on the run or walk courses.
  • No pets are permitted on the run course during the 5K
  • Event will occur rain or shine. All registration fees are non-refundable

Directions & Parking

PLEASE PLAN FOR HEAVY TRAFFIC. There will be over 3,000 participants, volunteers, and sponsors - we recommend leaving your house early. Carpooling is strongly encouraged.

We are very excited to offer free parking to participants this year in the Chase Field Garage located at 401 S. 4th Street (just south of the stadium on 4th Street). If the garage fills up, there will be overflow parking available in the surface lot on 4th Street (also free of charge).

Post-Race

The victory lap is back this year for the Diamondbacks Race Against Cancer and will take place inside Chase Field, celebrating survivors and their inspiring journeys! ONLY REGISTERED RACE PARTICIPANTS WILL BE PERMITTED TO ENTER CHASE FIELD FOR THE VICTORY LAP. Runners and walkers will have also access to an interactive Wellness Zone, complete with D-backs partners and non-profit organizations that will provide information on nutrition, exercise and cancer screenings. The Wellness Zone will be on the ballpark plaza near Gate E.

Awards & Proceeds

All 5K participants who cross the finish line will receive a commemorative medal at the finish line.

Prizes will be awarded for in-person participants during a special on-field pregame recognition at Chase Field during the 2026 season. The top male and top female finishers in each of the following age categories for the 5K will receive an award:

  • 12 & Under
  • 13-15
  • 16-19
  • 20-29
  • 30-39
  • 40-49
  • 50-59
  • 60-69
  • 70+

In addition, the top three overall female finisher and top three overall male finishers will also receive a prize. The overall top male and female finisher for the 5K will have the opportunity to throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to a select 2026 Arizona Diamondbacks regular season game at Chase Field. The first pitch date is determined by the Arizona Diamondbacks and is non-negotiable. If the overall top male finisher or the overall top female finisher for the 5K Race are not available on the selected date, the participant with the next best time will be given the opportunity.

Proceeds

All proceeds from the Diamondbacks Race Against Cancer will benefit the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and will be earmarked for programs and non-profits that provide screening, treatment and support for those dealing with cancer.
