Talons rookie center fielder Sierra Sacco made a name for herself in the pro ranks last month when she hit the first homer in AUSL history. On Wednesday, she showed her glove can be just as impressive as her bat.
It was a play that had Sierra written all over it -- seriously.
With two outs and runners on first and second in the top of the third and the Talons leading 1-0, Sacco robbed the Volts' Sierra Romero of extra bases and RBIs when she made a leaping catch at the wall in left-center to end the inning and bail her pitcher, former Mississippi State teammate Raelin Chaffin, out of a jam.

The catch ended up being a critical play in what became a 2-0 win for the first-place Talons (12-3), who've won seven straight. It also marked another good day at the field for Sacco, who has started her pro career with a flourish. After Wednesday's game, she's hitting .313 with two homers and an .858 OPS.
Bandits 5, Blaze 4 (8)
Delanie Wisz delivered a run-scoring walk-off single in extra innings on Wednesday to give the Bandits a 5-4 win over the Blaze and snap a three-game skid.
The win brings the Bandits to 10-5 on the season, as they remain in second place behind the Talons (12-3).
Wisz's walk-off hit capped a day that saw the Bandits get six strong innings from starter Lexi Kilfoyl, who struck out three and scattered six hits to limit what had been a red-hot Blaze offense to just two runs -- both of which came off the bat of Ali Newland, who opened the scoring with a solo homer in the second inning and added an RBI double in the fourth.
Kilfoyl went back out to start the seventh, but was relieved by Odicci Alexander after allowing a lead-off single. One out later, the Blaze tied the game on a two-run homer from Kalei Harding -- her first hit of the season -- eventually sending the game to extras and setting the stage for Wisz's heroics in the bottom of the eighth.
