2025 HOPE Week: Day 3
The Yankees honored Ed and Sue Goldstein and their nonprofit, The Valerie Fund, an organization that provides comprehensive medical and emotional care to more than 6,000 children each year across eight pediatric hospitals in N.Y., N.J. and metro Philadelphia. In its nearly 50-year history, The Valerie Fund has provided hundreds of thousands of patient-visits for children with cancer and blood disorders, bringing top-level cancer care within an hour’s drive of New Jersey residents and beyond. Yankees players Anthony Volpe, Clarke Schmidt, Oswaldo Cabrera, Will Warren and Tim Hill, along with Senior Vice President and General Manager Brian Cashman, Manager Aaron Boone, Bench Coach Brad Ausmus and Field Coordinator Tanner Swanson, joined pediatric cancer patients, survivors and their families – all connected to The Valerie Fund – for a karaoke party across the street from Yankee Stadium at the DugOut BX Sports Bar on River Avenue.
