To honor his extraordinary legacy, we are proud to introduce the Marty Brennaman Statue Project: a permanent tribute on Crosley Terrace at Great American Ball Park that captures the essence of one of baseball’s most beloved broadcasters.
The statue honors and celebrates Marty Brennaman — the unmistakable voice of the Cincinnati Reds for nearly five decades. With passion, honesty, and unforgettable calls, Marty brought every game to life. His signature phrase, “And this one belongs to the Reds!”, became a rallying cry for generations of fans. A Hall of Fame broadcaster and Ford C. Frick Award winner, Marty was more than an announcer, he was a trusted companion, master storyteller, and enduring symbol of Reds baseball.
The statue will capture Marty in his iconic broadcast pose—headphones on, microphone in one hand and scorebook in the other—embodying the energy, passion, and vivid storytelling that defined countless Reds games. Created by renowned local sculptor Tom Tsuchiya, it will honor not only Marty’s Hall of Fame career but also the deep emotional bond he shared with Reds fans across the region and beyond. The piece will stand proudly among the Crosley Terrace statues of Reds legends Ernie Lombardi, Joe Nuxhall, Frank Robinson, and Ted Kluszewski, as well as Big Red Machine icons Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, Pete Rose, and Tony Pérez.

STATUE DEDICATION – SEPTEMBER 6
The Marty Brennaman statue will be unveiled and dedicated on Saturday, September 6 prior to the Reds vs. Mets game at Great American Ball Park. The dedication is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., with on-field ceremonies scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Fans in attendance at the game will also receive an oversized commemorative game ticket, while supplies last.
MARTY’S LEGACY 46 CLUB
Fans can celebrate Marty and support the Reds Hall of Fame’s statue campaign by joining “Marty’s Legacy 46 Club.” Join supporters from across Reds Country to honor Marty’s 46 remarkable years behind the mic.
For a $46 donation, contributors will have their name displayed in the Marty & Joe Broadcasting Exhibit inside the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum presented by Dinsmore and receive a commemorative certificate, a commemorative pin and a photo of Marty’s statue dedication (mailed after the event).
