Big Red Machine 50th Anniversary Reunion Celebration
Twenty-three members of the legendary 1975 and 1976 Cincinnati Reds teams returned for the Big Red Machine 50th Anniversary Reunion Celebration presented by PNC, June 26–29.
Recognized as one of the most dominant dynasties in Major League Baseball history, the Big Red Machine's back-to-back World Series titles in 1975 and 1976 cemented their legacy in Cincinnati and beyond. This four-day celebration invited fans of all generations to honor the players who redefined the game and celebrate the enduring impact of the Reds' most iconic team.
The festivities kicked off June 26 with "An Evening with the Big Red Machine," at the Jarson-Kaplan Theater at the Aronoff Center for the Arts, where Reds Hall of Fame broadcaster Marty Brennaman led members of the Big Red Machine in sharing never-before-told stories and reflections on the World Series teams.
On June 27, the world champs participated in a parade around the warning track of Great American Ball Park before the Reds beat the Padres. On June 28, which was Big Red Machine 50th Anniversary Night presented by PNC, there was a pregame ceremony hosted by Brennaman which included a speech on behalf of the players given by Hall of Famer Johnny Bench. Tributes to the Big Red Machine were featured throughout the game, and fans who arrived early enough had the opportunity to take home a Big Red Machine Anniversary Cap, courtesy of Fan Duel.
Throughout the weekend, members of the championship teams held meet and greets at the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum.
