The Texas Rangers will celebrate PLAY BALL Weekend with several activations at its West Dallas MLB Youth Academy. Events will begin on Friday, June 13, when baseball & softball programming gets the PLAY BALL treatment. In addition to running through a typical day of summer training to improve athletes' on-field skills, the coaches will implement a series of fun competition-style drills and distribute exciting PLAY BALL giveaway items including, t-shirts and bat and ball kits.
Saturday morning’s Nike RBI senior baseball showdown on June 15 will feature two leading teams in the Rangers Nike RBI summer league looking to notch another win on the road to the postseason wood bat tournament. The game will be open to the public at no cost, and there will be giveaways for some lucky fans in the grandstands.
To conclude the Texas Rangers 2024 PLAY BALL Weekend celebration, the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) will host a Legends for Youth Clinic on Sunday, June 16, connecting former and aspiring Major Leaguers for a three-hour camp focused on improving skills and sharing wisdom with the next generation through a dedicated Q&A session.
