BOSTON, MA—The Boston Red Sox today recalled infielder/outfielder Nate Eaton from Triple-A Worcester.
Eaton, 28, has played 64 games for Worcester this season, batting .274 (64-for-234) with 19 doubles, one triple, seven home runs, and an .810 OPS. The right-handed hitter has made 24 starts at third base, 18 in center field, 11 in right field, five at shortstop, two in left field, two as the designated hitter, and one at second base. Originally selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 21st round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft, the Virginia native has played 72 career Major League games, all for the Royals (2022-23), batting .201 (32-for-159) with one home run and 13 RBI.
