BOSTON, MA—The Boston Red Sox today announced the following roster moves:
- Selected right-handed pitcher Isaiah Campbell to the active Major League roster from Triple-A Worcester. Campbell will wear number 48.
- Optioned right-handed pitcher Richard Fitts to Triple-A Worcester.
- Transferred right-handed pitcher Liam Hendriks to the 60-Day Injured List.
Campbell, 27, has made 30 relief outings for Triple-A Worcester this season, recording seven saves while posting a 3.89 ERA (17 ER/39.1 IP) with 33 strikeouts. The right-hander made eight appearances for Boston in 2024, allowing 12 ER over 6.2 IP. Originally selected by the Seattle Mariners in the second round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft, the Portugal native owns a 5.35 ERA (21 ER/35.1 IP) with 39 strikeouts in 35 career Major League games with the Mariners (2023) and Red Sox (2024).
Fitts, 25, started and earned his first career win last night against the Colorado Rockies. The right-hander owns a 4.28 ERA (16 ER/33.2 IP) in eight starts for Boston this season, while also recording a 5.25 ERA (7 ER/12.0 IP) in three starts for Triple-A Worcester. Originally selected by the New York Yankees in the sixth round of the 2021 First-Year Player Draft, the Alabama native owns a 3.31 ERA (20 ER/54.1 IP) with 37 strikeouts in 12 career Major League games, all starts for the Red Sox (2024-25).
Hendriks, 36, was placed on the 15-Day Injured List on May 30 (retroactive to May 28) with right hip inflammation. The right-hander has made 14 appearances this season, posting a 6.59 ERA (10 ER/13.2 IP) with 12 strikeouts. Originally signed by the Minnesota Twins as a non-drafted free agent on February 25, 2007, the Australia native owns a 3.88 ERA (286 ER/663.2 IP) with 116 saves and 739 strikeouts in 490 career games (44 starts) with the Twins (2011-13), Kansas City Royals (2014), Toronto Blue Jays (2014-15), Oakland Athletics (2016-20), Chicago White Sox (2021-23), and Red Sox (2025).
