The Phillies are back in town for a three-game series against the Washington Nationals! Here’s a look at the fan highlights surrounding this week at Citizens Bank Park.
Travel advisory: Fans leaving the games this series (April 29 through May 1) should be aware that there will be construction on I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) between the U.S. 1 South (City Avenue) and I-676 interchanges from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through this work area. 1. The series begins on Tuesday, April 29, with Hatfield Phillies Franks BOGO Night at 6:45 p.m. Fans can buy two hot dogs for the price of one ($5) at concession stands throughout the ballpark. Gate openings: 3B/LF – 4:45 p.m.; all other gates 5:15 p.m.
- Before the game, ten local students will be honored on-field in the 8th annual All-Star Students Recognition sponsored by LF Driscoll. The students, in grades PreK-12, went above and beyond both inside and outside the classroom, and were nominated by their teachers as part of the Phillies All-Star Students Contest. Each winning student earned a $1,000 donation to their school, thanks to LF Driscoll.
- In honor of KYW NewsRadio’s 60th anniversary, reporter Mike DeNardo will throw a ceremonial first pitch.
- Temple Health will be on-site for the Temple Health Community Baby Shower at the First and Third Base Gates, with information about the Temple Women & Families Hospital opening soon. Fans can text “babyowl” to 44834 for donations to be used on needed items for new moms.
2. On Wednesday, April 30, it’s the Italian Family Celebration at that night’s 6:45 p.m. game. Gate openings: 3B/LF – 4:45 p.m.; all other gates 5:15 p.m.
- Fans can enjoy a pregame performance by Munier Mandolin & Guitar Orchestra in the Third Base Plaza.
- Plus, in honor of the Italian Family Celebration, enjoy a Peroni beer and fried calamari at Pass & Stow.
3. The series concludes on Thursday, May 1, with the game at 6:45 p.m. Limited Theme Night tickets remain for the second Scout Night of the season; the first 4,000 fans to purchase will receive a voucher for an exclusive Phillies scout patch. Gate openings: 3B/LF – 4:45 p.m.; all other gates 5:15 p.m.
