With Zack Wheeler and Kyle Schwarber representing the club for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard in Atlanta, the Phillies are gearing up to officially declare – and celebrate – Philadelphia as the next host for the Midsummer Classic! On Friday, July 18, the club will present Philadelphia’s 2026 All-Star Declaration, featuring an All-Star lineup of fan festivities that will begin with a special noon event at Dilworth Park, located at the foot of City Hall.

The free event will be bookended by performances by Philadelphia’s own Grammy Award-winning band The Roots. More highlights will include an All-Star Walk entry of former Phillies All-Stars including Larry Bowa, Dave Cash and Greg “The Bull” Luzinski, who participated in the 1976 MLB All-Star Game, which was also hosted by Philadelphia during the nation’s bicentennial celebration.

Other All-Star participants include former Home Run Derby champs Bobby Abreu and Ryan Howard, along with legends Cole Hamels, John Kruk, Charlie Manuel and Juan Samuel. Phillies broadcaster Tom McCarthy and PA announcer Dan Baker will emcee the event, which will also feature an appearance by the Phillie Phanatic, along with guest speakers from the team and city. To add to the fun, commemorative rally towels will also be available (while supplies last).

The event will also feature the arrival of Philadelphia’s 2026 All-Star Declaration Bus*,* providing another great photo opportunity for fans. Later that day, the celebratory vehicle will be touring throughout Philadelphia, with fan photo stops at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (2:00 p.m.), Independence Mall (2:45 p.m.), and Betsy Ross House (3:30 p.m.), with the final stop at Citizens Bank Park (4:15 p.m.) on Citizens Bank Way until that night’s game against the Angels gets underway.

Philadelphia’s 2026 All-Star Declaration will continue on-field during a ballpark-wide pregame event, as the team and special guests including Phillies All-Star legends will officially commence the countdown to the first MLB All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park – just one year away. Highlights to the pregame event will also include an All-Star entry by the U.S. Navy Leap Frog parachute team. In addition, the New Era Phillies Team Store will offer commemorative merchandise beginning that day with a 12:30 p.m. launch.

The 2026 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard – which will be MLB’s 96th Midsummer Classic – will mark the fifth time that the City of Philadelphia will host the event, and the first ever at Citizens Bank Park, the Phillies’ home since 2004. Next year will also mark the 250th anniversary of American independence.
