LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers claimed Yoendrys Gómez from the New York Yankees.
Gómez, 25, pitched in six games for the Yankees before getting designated for assignment on Tuesday. He went 1-1 with a 2.70 ERA and five strikeouts in 10.0 innings. He has been in the Majors parts of three seasons with Yankees and he is a combined 1-1 with a 3.09 ERA in 12 games. In seven minor league seasons, he is 12-17 with a 3.49 ERA in 101 games. He was signed by the Yankees on July 2, 2016, from Nirgua, Venezuela.
