LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers claimed right-handed pitcher J.P. Feyereisen off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks and acquired right-handed pitcher Ryan Loutos from the St. Louis Cardinals for cash considerations. In order to make room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers transferred right-handed pitchers Michael Kopech and Blake Treinen to the 60-day injured list.
Feyereisen, 32, made two appearances for the Diamondbacks before getting designated for assignment on April 27. He tossed two innings, allowing two earned runs and striking out two. This is his second stint with the Dodgers organization, recording an 0-1 mark with an 8.18 ERA in 10 games last season. He is in his fifth Major League season overall, having spent time with the Milwaukee Brewers (2020-21), Tampa Bay Rays (2021-22), Dodgers (2024) and Diamondbacks (2025) and has a 3.07 ERA in 95 games. The Wisconsin native was drafted in 2014 by the Cleveland Guardians in the 16th round out of Wisconsin-Stevens Point University.
Loutos, 26, was designated for assignment on April 28. He made his Major League debut in 2024, appearing in three games without allowing a run. He was 0-0 with a 3.38 ERA in eight games for Triple-A Memphis this season. Over five minor league seasons, he owns a 4.82 ERA with 247 strikeouts in 220.1 innings. He was an undrafted free agent sign by the Cardinals in 2021.
