DODGERS SIGN CHRIS STRATTON
LOS ANGELE**S –** The Los Angeles Dodgers signed Chris Stratton and added him to the active roster. In order to make room on the roster, the Dodgers designated right-handed pitcher Ryan Loutos.
Stratton, 34, rejoins the Dodgers after being designated for assignment on June 2. He made two appearances for Los Angeles, allowing two runs in three innings with five strikeouts. He made 12 appearances for Kansas City prior to joining L.A., allowing 15 earned runs in 17 innings. He had been with the Royals two seasons, going 4-3 with a 6.09 ERA and 60 strikeouts. The 2023 World Series Champion has been in the Majors 10 seasons with the San Francisco Giants (2016-18), Los Angeles Angels (2019), Pittsburgh Pirates (2019-22), St. Louis Cardinals (2022-23), Texas Rangers (2023) and Royals (2024-25), going 41-27 with a 4.63 ERA in 373 games. He was originally drafted in the first round of the 2012 First Year Player Draft by the Giants out of Mississippi State University.
Loutos, 26, pitched in two games during his Dodgers tenure, allowing five runs in 3.0 innings. He has pitched 5.1 innings in his career, allowing five runs on six hits with two strikeouts. Over five minor league seasons, he owns a 4.68 ERA with 256 strikeouts in 231 innings. He was an undrafted free agent signed by the Cardinals in 2021.
