LOS ANGELE**S –** The Los Angeles Dodgers activated right-handed pitcher Luis Garcia and optioned right-handed pitcher Will Klein.
Garcia, 38, rejoins the team after being sidelined with a right adductor strain since June 1. He has 26 appearances this season, posting a 4.50 ERA with 23 strikeouts in 26 innings. He is in his 13th Major League season, being part of the Philadelphia Phillies (2013-18), Los Angeles Angels (2019,2024), Texas Rangers (2020), St. Louis Cardinals (2021), San Diego Padres (2022-23), Boston Red Sox (2024) and Dodgers (2025) and has posted a 28-28 record with a 4.16 ERA in 571 career games. He signed a one-year deal with Los Angeles on January 22.
Klein, 25, threw two scoreless innings last night, striking out three. He made two appearances for Los Angeles in his second stint with the club, tossing 3.2 scoreless innings. He was acquired on June 2 from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for left-handed pitcher Joe Jacques. He made his Major League debut in 2024, allowing nine runs in 7.1 innings between the Royals and Athletics. In five minor league seasons, he is 13-11 with a 5.33 ERA in 181 games. He was drafted by the Royals in 2020 First Year Player Draft out of Eastern Illinois University in the fifth round.
