DODGERS ACTIVATE EMMET SHEEHAN
LOS ANGELE**S –** The Los Angeles Dodgers activated right-handed pitcher Emmet Sheehan from the 60-day injured list and optioned right-handed pitcher Matt Sauer to Triple-A.
Sheehan, 25, returns after missing all of the 2024 season and 74 games in the 2025 season, while recovering from Tommy John surgery. He made his Major League debut in 2023, pitching in 13 games and going 4-1 with a 4.92 ERA. He made four rehab starts between ACL and Triple-A Oklahoma City, allowing five runs in 11.1 innings with 21 strikeouts. He was drafted by the Dodgers in 2021 in the sixth round out of Boston College.
Sauer, 26, pitched last night, recording his second win of the season. He is now 2-1 with a 6.18 ERA in nine games for the Dodgers. Last season, he made his Major League debut as a member of the Kansas City Royals and went 0-0 with a 7.71 ERA in 14 games. He was originally drafted by the Yankees in the second round of the 2017 First Year Player Draft out of Ernest Righetti High School (Santa Maria, Calif.).
