The Arizona Diamondbacks named Triple-A Reno INF Jordan Lawlar and RHP Kyle Amendt the organization’s Minor League Player- and Pitcher-of-the-Month for April.
JORDAN LAWLAR
- D-backs’ No. 1 ranked prospect and MLB’s No. 4.
- Pacific Coast League Player of the Month for April.
- Hit safely in 22 of 25 games with the Aces, batting .408 (42-for-103)/1.235 OPS with 13 doubles, 2 triples, 6 home runs, 30 RBI, 14 walks, 2 hit-by-pitches, 10 stolen bases.
- Ranked among Minor League leaders in SLG pct. (1st, .748), OPS (1st, 1.235), hits (1st, 42), extra-base hits (1st, 21), total bases (1st, 77), runs (1st, 31), AVG (2nd, .408), doubles (2nd, 13) and RBI (T-2nd, 30).
- Had an 11-game hitting streak from April 17-30 (.511 AVG; 24-for-47, 7 doubles, 2 triples, 3 home runs, 18 RBI, 8 walks, 8 stolen bases).
- Hit safely in all 16 home starts, batting .424 (28-for-66)/1.249 OPS with 8 doubles, 2 triples, 3 homers, 22 RBI, 9 walks and 10 stolen bases, including 9 multi-hit games.
- Recorded a career-high-tying 4 hits on April 30 @ Sacramento.
- Hit .440 (11-for-25)/1.180 OPS vs. lefties and .397 (31-for-78)/1.253 OPS vs. righties.
- Signed as the D-backs’ first-round pick (6th overall) in the 2021 Draft.
KYLE AMENDT
- Went scoreless over 10 games (11.2 IP) with an opponent .195 AVG (8-for-41), 4 walks and 15 strikeouts with the Aces.
- Ranked among Pacific Coast League leaders in games (T-2nd, 10).
- Held lefties to a .154 AVG (2-for-13).
- Did not allow a home run (45 BF).
- Signed as the D-backs’ ninth-round pick in the 2023 Draft.
