Head down to Citizens Bank Park as the Phils close out the homestand with a three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles, August 4-6. Here’s a look at some of the fan highlights surrounding this week’s games:
The series begins with a 6:45 p.m. game on Monday, August 4. Before the game, the winning teams and MVPs of this year’s Baseball and Softball Carpenter Cup Classics presented by Nike will be honored on-field. Gate openings: 3B/LF – 4:45 p.m.; all other gates 5:15 p.m.
- Honorees include Tri-Cape, winners of the 20th annual softball tournament, with MVP Brooke Douglas; and Burlington County, winners of the 39th annual baseball tournament, with MVP Brett Jackson.
- Plus, the organization’s July employees of the month will be recognized on-field before the game.
- Camryn Vorhauer, a 17-year-old with cystic fibrosis, will throw a ceremonial first pitch thanks to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Children 14 and under will receive a Phanatic Big Chain presented by Terminix before the 6:45 p.m. game on Tuesday, August 5. Gate openings: 3B/LF – 4:45 p.m.; all other gates 5:15 p.m.
- Before the game, the team will host PAL Night, in celebration of the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia. Following an on-field PAL softball game, the organization will be presented with a donation from Phillies Charities, Inc.
- Plus, Jayden Jones, a Mastery School student and Ford PAL Center representative, will throw a ceremonial first pitch.
The series concludes with the Citizens Businesspersons Special game on Wednesday, August 6, at 12:35 p.m**. After the game, children 14 and under are invited on-field for** Nemours Children’s Health Kids Run the Bases. Gate openings: 3B/LF – 10:35 a.m.; all other gates 11:05 a.m.
- Geno Auriemma, a Norristown, Pa. resident and 12-time NCAA national champion as the women’s basketball coach at the University of Connecticut, will throw a ceremonial first pitch.
- As part of the Citizens Businesspersons Special, Citizens customers score perks for banking with the home team by getting 10% off concessions when paying with a Citizens debit or credit card.
Fans are invited to bid on team-issued and game-used autographed memorabilia items signed by Phillies alumni as part of the Phillies Charities Online Auction until 6:00 p.m. on August 11, at phillies.com/auctions.
- Features signed memorabilia from former players and staff including Larry Bowa, Steve Carlton, Roy Halladay, Cole Hamels, Ryan Howard, Brad Lidge, Charlie Manuel, Mickey Morandini, Carlos Ruiz, Juan Samuel and Chase Utley.
