Ryan Michael Ritter...Son of Ken and Maureen...Oldest of seven children...Played at John A. Logan College (Ill.) in 2020 before transferring to the University of Kentucky...In two seasons with the Wildcats (2021-22), slashed .280/.350/.423 across 111 games with 19 doubles, three triples, 11 home runs and 56 RBI...Won the ABCA Rawlings Gold Glove award at shortstop his junior year in 2022, the sixth player in school history to win a Gold Glove award...Was also named to the Southeastern Conference All-Defensive Team...Was a three-sport athlete at Lincoln-Way East High School (Ill.), playing baseball, basketball and football...As a senior in 2019, batted .429 with 13 doubles, three triples, four home runs, 41 runs and a .724 slugging percentage.

Spent the season with Double-A Hartford (91 games) and slashed .270/.370/.403 with 17 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, 32 RBI and 17 stolen bases...Among qualified players, led the Yard Goats in on-base percentage (.370) and OPS (.773) and tied for first in batting average (.270)...Went 17-for-17 in stolen base attempts, the only Rockies Minor Leaguer to have 17 or more stolen bases without getting caught...Reached base safely in 31 straight games June 21-Sept. 12, the fifth longest on-base streak by a Double-A player...Played for Salt River in the Arizona Fall League and slashed .150/.477/.350 with two doubles and two home runs in 15 games...Walked 18 times and was hit-by-pitch seven times.

Named the California League MVP while also earning Post-Season and MiLB.com Organization All-Star honors...Played 65 games with Single-A Fresno and slashed .305/.405/.606 with 14 doubles, three triples, 18 home runs and 58 RBI…tied for second in home runs in the California League...Promoted to High-A Spokane on July 3 and appeared in 46 games with the Indians, slashing .265/.367/.441 with 10 doubles, one triple and six home runs...Assigned to Double-A Hartford on Sept. 6 and went 4-for-25 (4-for-25) across eight games.
