Was acquired by Washington at the trade deadline...Had his contract selected on Aug. 13 and made his debut that night at Baltimore...Ranked among all Minor Leaguers in hits (first, 132), RBI (third, 85), extra-base hits (fifth, 51), OPS (sixth, .997) and slugging percentage (eighth, .572) at the time he was selected...Finished the season third in all of Minor League Baseball in OPS (.977), fourth in slugging (.572) and sixth in average (.328)...Went 3-for-4 with three doubles in his Major League debut...The three extra-base hits were tied for the second-most in a debut in MLB history...He went on to record seven doubles in his first 12 games, the most in Nationals history...All told, 16 (12 2B, four HR) of his 26 hits went for extra bases...Tied for third among all MLB rookies with 16 extra-base hits from Aug. 13-Sept. 22...Hit his first career home run on Aug. 27 vs. New York (AL) off Gerrit Cole...Capped off his year by helping Aguilas del Zulia to a Venezuelan Winter League Championship...Hit .323 with three doubles, five home runs, 14 RBI, a stolen base, eight walks and 11 runs scored in 22 games for manager Henry Blanco.

Combined to hit .296/.370/.592 (77-for-260) with 40 R, 17 doubles, 20 HR, 55 RBI, 25 BB and four SB in 71 games with Double-A Somerset, the FCL Yankees and Single-A Tampa…his 20 HR were tied for the third-most among Yankees Minor Leaguers…led Somerset with 19 HR…in five postseason games for the Patriots, hit .300 (6-for-20) with five runs, one double, one HR, three RBI and three BB…following the season, was selected as an Eastern League Postseason All-Star and was named an Organization All-Star by MiLB.com.

Ranked fourth among Yankees minor leaguers in RBI (73) and walks (60), while ranking seventh in runs (71) and hits (96)…was named an Organization All-Star by MiLB.com…following the season, tied for second in the Arizona Fall League with eight doubles.
