Enjoys photography...When he was a member of the Yankees he was taking photos with an old camera...His teammate and fellow photographer Didi Gregorius gave him a brand new camera...Enjoys mountain biking and any outdoor activities...Took five years of Japanese classes throughout high school and college...Faced Michael Conforto when he was pitching at USC...Plunked him in their first matchup...His father worked with computers...Stephen built his first computer when he was 12...Is interested in learning to code...Enjoys traveling...Plans to visit Europe and Japan someday.

2020

Appeared in 10 games before an oblique injury shelved him for a month...Returned from the IL in the final week of the season to make two appearances...Earned the save in his lone opportunity of the season on Aug. 5 at Baltimore. POSTSEASON...Was on Miami's NL Wild Card Series roster, but did not appear in the series.

2019

Appeared in a career-high 21 games for the Yankees in 2019; made 20 relief appearances, with two saves, and first career start on June 30 at Boston...Also made 18 appearances (two starts) at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, going 5-1 with a 3.13 ERA and three saves.

2018

Made his Major League debut, appearing in 10 games with the Yankees and posting a 3.00 ERA (9.0IP, 3ER)…opponents batted .176 (6-for-34, 0HR); LH .067 (1-for-15), RH .263 (5-for-19)...Was signed to a Major League contract and selected to the Yankees' active roster from Triple-A Scranton/WilkesBarre on 9/1...Made his Major League debut in 9/2 loss vs. Detroit, allowing 3H and 3ER in 1.0IP (2BB, 1K)…recorded his first career strikeout (Victor Reyes)...Did not allow a run over his final nine appearances (8.0IP, 3H, 4BB, 12K)…also did not allow a hit over his final six appearances (5.0IP, 3BB, 10K), holding batters 0-for-16. 4 Made his postseason debut in ALDS Game 3 loss vs. Boston, permitting 3ER in 1.0IP (4H, 1BB, 1K, 1WP)...Combined with Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to go 7-2 with two saves and a 1.94 ERA (69.2IP, 15ER) in 36 games...Began the season with Trenton, going 5-0 with two saves and a 1.26 ERA (35.2IP, 5ER) in 19 relief appearances...Was promoted to Scranton/WB on 6/29 and went 2-2 with a 2.65 ERA (34.0IP, 10ER) in 17 outings.
