Injury: Left rib fracture

Expected return: Mid-August

RHP Joe Ross
Injury: Back spasms
IL date: July 22 (retroactive to July 21)
Expected return: Aug. 5
Status: Ross threw a successful bullpen session on July 28 in Chicago. He will begin a rehab assignment on July 31 with Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Ross is also scheduled to pitch on Aug. 2. (Last updated: July 29)
RHP Aaron Nola
Injuries: Right ankle sprain, stress fracture in right rib
IL date: May 16 (retroactive to May 15, transferred to 60-day IL on June 19)
Expected return: As early as Aug. 15
Status: Nola is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment on July 31 at Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He will need at least three rehab starts to build up to 90 pitches. The Phillies plan to have Nola pitch every five days. (Last updated: July 29) More >>
