Get ready for an exciting lineup of fan events as baseball legends return for Toyota Phillies Alumni Weekend, being held from Friday, August 1, to Sunday, August 3, at Citizens Bank Park during the series against the Detroit Tigers.
More than 50 former players and coaches are scheduled to make appearances, including Hall of Famers, Wall of Famers, All-Stars and more (see player listing below).
In addition, fans will be able to participate in an online Phillies Charities, Inc. auction (August 1-11) at phillies.com/auctions, featuring memorabilia signed by legends including Larry Bowa, Steve Carlton, Cole Hamels, Roy Halladay, Ryan Howard, Brad Lidge, Charlie Manuel, Mickey Morandini, Carlos Ruiz, Juan Samuel and Chase Utley. Also, there will be new and limited-edition merchandise celebrating Jimmy Rollins and Dick Allen (starting August 1) at the New Era Phillies Team Store, as well as commemorative Phillies Wall of Fame cups at concession stands.

Be in your seats early as one of the most legendary players to wear red pinstripes, all-time hits leader and 2008 World Series champion Jimmy Rollins, will be bestowed with one of the team’s highest honors as he becomes the 49th Phillie to be inducted into the prestigious Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame.
Also taking his permanent place in club history as the sixth executive to be inducted into the Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame will be Ed Wade, the team’s vice president and general manager from 1998 until 2005, who was responsible for drafting and developing much of the core of the historic 2008 world championship team, including promoting Rollins to the major leagues.
- The event, emceed by broadcaster Tom McCarthy and PA announcer Dan Baker, will feature a red-carpet rollout for Phillies Wall of Famers as they take the field to honor Rollins and Wade.
- Participants include special guests from the inductees’ storied careers, among them 2008 World Series champion Ryan Howard, who will have the honor of introducing Rollins, his longtime teammate. Remarks will also be made by Phillies Wall of Famer Larry Bowa, the first managerial hire during Wade’s tenure as general manager. Also, Rollins and Wade’s plaques will be unveiled on the prestigious Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame, a tradition that began in 1978 at Veterans Stadium.
- Other special moments will include the presentation of Phillies Wall of Fame rings by the team’s managing partner and CEO John Middleton, all before fans have the chance to salute Rollins and Wade during a victory lap around the warning track.

About Jimmy Rollins: A dynamic leadoff hitter who impacted the game with his glove, bat and speed for 15 seasons with the Phillies, Jimmy Rollins was the spark plug for five consecutive National League East titles, back-to-back National League pennants and a World Series championship from 2007 to 2011. Rollins spent 15 of his 17 major league seasons with the Phillies after being drafted by the club in 1996. He made his major league debut on September 17, 2000, tripling in his first at-bat. No. 11 was a three-time National League All-Star (2001-02; 2005), four-time Gold Glove Award winner (2007-09; 2012), Silver Slugger (2007) and National League MVP (2007), as well as co-winner of MLB’s prestigious Roberto Clemente Award (2014).
About Ed Wade: Ed Wade’s contributions to the Phillies were game-changing, as he developed most of the core players from the teams that won five straight NL East championship titles from 2007 to 2011, including the 2008 World Series champions. During Wade’s tenure as general manager, the Phillies acquired, drafted or signed players including Pat Burrell (1998), Ryan Madson (1998), Carlos Ruiz (1998), Chase Utley (2000), Ryan Howard (2001), Cole Hamels (2002), Jim Thome (2003), Kevin Millwood (2003), David Bell (2004), Billy Wagner (2004) and Shane Victorino (2005). He was also responsible for the managerial hires of Larry Bowa (2001) and Charlie Manuel (2005). In addition, Wade helped move the organization into Citizens Bank Park in 2004.

Prior to the game, the Phillies will tip their caps to Dick Allen, one of the top sluggers of his generation and the club’s first Black superstar, for his recent posthumous induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
- Among those taking part will be Allen’s widow, Willa Allen, and son, Richard Allen, as well as other family members. The legacy of No. 15 will be celebrated during a special Hall of Fame video on PhanaVision, and Allen’s Baseball Hall of Fame plaque will also be on display during the pregame recognition.
- Other highlights include the on-field return of the 2025 Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame inductees, Jimmy Rollins and Ed Wade, who will have the honor of throwing a ceremonial first pitch, as well as the national anthem performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra’s Low Brass Quartet.
- In addition, fans will have a photo opportunity with Allen’s Baseball Hall of Fame plaque from 4:30 p.m. until the 6th inning at the Phillies Authentics stand behind Section 133 on the main concourse.
