Scenes from Philadelphia’s 2026 All-Star Declaration
Following Kyle Schwarber’s MVP performance at the MLB All-Star Game in Atlanta, the city of Philadelphia started gearing up to host the Midsummer Classic at Citizens Bank Park in 2026.
On Friday, July 18, the Phillies officially declared the City of Brotherly Love as the host of next year’s All-Star festivities with a free public event at Dilworth Park in front of City Hall. The show kicked off with a performance by Philadelphia hip hop group The Roots. Legendary Phillies All-Stars from the last 50 years took the stage, and were joined by Phillies Managing Partner and CEO John Middleton as first baseman Bryce Harper to officially unveil the logo for the 2026 All-Star Game.
At the end of the show, the 2026 All-Star Declaration Bus departed on a city-wide tour, making stops at historic Philly locations like the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Independence Hall and the Betsy Ross House, before making its way to Citizens Bank Park before that night’s game against the Angels.
Before the game, the celebration continued with an on-field tribute to former and current Phillies players who have been All-Stars, and a special entrance by the U.S. Navy Leap Frog Parachute team, who jumped from the sky into the ballpark while proudly displaying the 2026 All-Star Game banner. Plus, the New Era Phillies Team Store has stocked full of bran-new All-Star Game merchandise.
Once the sun set, the city lit up in red, white and blue in celebration of both the All-Star Declaration, and the nation’s upcoming 250th birthday.
