Phillies, Citizens and Philabundance campaign to strike out hunger
On Sunday, June 22, the Phillies held their annual Phans Feeding Families Night and Food Drive at Citizens Bank Park, held in partnership with Citizens, with the goal of striking out hunger.
Fans were encouraged to bring non-perishable food to the entrance gates, or to digitally purchase food, courtesy of The GIANT Company.
The cause was also supported by Phillies fans through digital donations, that night’s Phillies Charities 50/50 Drawing, and by bidding on an online auction, all benefitting Philabundance.
During pregame ceremonies, the Phillies partners – including Citizens, Aramark Sports + Entertainment, the Campbells Company, The GIANT Company, Goya Foods, Hatfield Quality Meats, Philabundance, KPMG and Tri-State Toyota Dealers –who make this campaign possible were honored on-field, and The Office’s Kate Flannery threw out a ceremonial first pitch.
