Phillies and Fairmount Park Conservancy volunteer to clean up FDR Park
April 22, 2025
In honor of Earth Day, members of the Phillies front office staff teamed up with Fairmount Park to help clean up and care for the area around FDR Park’s Pattison Lagoon. Volunteers cared for young trees by watering and mulching them, while also clearing out weeds and cleaning up any trash.
The planting of and caring for native trees, shrubs, flowers and grasses help support local wildlife and will make a lasting impact on the lagoon’s ecosystem.
As is tradition, the Phillie Phanatic showed up to help out by raking mulch and ripping out weeds himself.
Check out the highlights from this fantastic Earth Day cleanup event, which was also a part of the team’s Red Goes Green and Phillies Give Back initiatives.
