Vibrant Latino music, flavor and culture, plus a Serpientes jersey giveaway set the stage for a can't miss Hispanic Heritage Weekend August 22-24

The celebration of the season is here as D-backs Hispanic Heritage Weekend presented by Estrella Jalisco returns to Chase Field from August 22-24. The team’s 27th annual celebration is three days of can’t-miss entertainment including festive food and dance, a free postgame concert on Friday and the must-have Serpientes Replica Jersey giveaway for the first 25,000 fans on Saturday. Friday, August 22: Postgame Concert featuring Banda La Adictiva & Puerto Rican Heritage Night

The festivities kick-off Friday night with a vibrant postgame performance by Latin Grammy award nominee Banda La Adictiva. All fans with a game ticket can enjoy the show for free or upgrade to a field pass and/or meet & greet for a more intimate experience at dbacks.com/hhw.

Fans should plan to stay late AND come early, because pregame will also be packed with entertainment celebrating Puerto Rican Heritage, including a performance by dance group, Orgullo Borricua, music by Miguel “El Mambo” DeLeon, and dance lessons by Ritmo Rico Dance Company in La Terraza. Plus, food trucks El New Yorican and Sofrito Tan Rico will be on-site dishing out delicious eats on the plaza before the game. Limited Special Event ticket packages, which include a ticket to the game and a Puerto Rican inspired D-backs jersey, are available for purchase at dbacks.com/puertorico.

The D-backs will celebrate local Hispanic leaders and organizations including Los D-backs Líderes Under 40 Award winners and Monica Villalobos, President & CEO Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, who will throw the ceremonial first pitch. The team will also recognize Ivette Rodriguez, Executive Director for Phoenix International Academy, as well as Phoenix Coqui and Puerto Rico Latin Bar and Grill.

Saturday, August 23: Serpientes Jersey Giveaway

On Saturday, the first 25,000 fans in attendance we will receive a Serpientes Replica Jersey. All fans will enjoy pregame celebrations including a national anthem performance by Mariachi Los Tigres de Tolleson, Tolleson Elementary School District’s nationally recognized ensemble blending cultural pride with musical excellence, and ceremonial first pitch thrown by Diana Lee Guzman, Founder and CEO of Coding in Color, a non-profit that provides educational resources to underserved students in Arizona.

Additional recognitions include impactful Hispanic-serving leaders Efrain Casillas, Director of Mariachi Los Trigres de Tolleson, and organizations such as Xico, Aliento and the Helios Foundation.

Sunday, August 24: Cuban Heritage Day

Cuban Heritage will close out the weekend and offer fans the option to purchase a special Ticket Package to receive a ticket to Sunday’s game and a Cuban inspired D-backs jersey at dbacks.com/cuban. The day gets started with pregame activities in La Terraza including dance lessons from The Duce and a special performance from Josiel and the Band, and on-field recognitions including the 2025 Pete García winner, Raúl E. Aguirre, who will throw out the ceremonial first pitch, past Pete García winners, Los D-backs Hispanic Council and local Cuban businesses and leaders. Mariachi Aztlan de Pueblo, Pueblo Magnet High School's very own mariachi group, will perform the national anthem.

Weekend Food Specials at Chase Field

All weekend long, fans can enjoy two specialty, Hispanic-inspired food items at Chase Field:

  • Argentinian Choripan**,** a Spanish chorizo sausage topped with garlic aioli, Argentinian chimichurri, salsa criolla on a sausage roll will be available at Big Dawgs (Sections 105, 324).
  • Dominican Yaroas, crispy crinkle-cut fries topped with Queso Bravo, seasoned ground beef, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise and ketchup can be found at Jefferson Street Deli (Section 120).
