As the Minor League season heads into the home stretch, some of the sport's best prospects are still going strong. Jurrangelo Cijntje (Mariners) is finishing on a strong note at Double-A while a pair of 18-year-olds -- Leo De Vries (A's) and Jesús Made (Brewers) -- are proving age isn't an obstacle to success. The High-A and Single-A levels kicked off their postseasons with a few notable performances, highlighted by David Shields (Royals), who brought his regular-season dominance into the playoffs.
Jurrangelo Cijntje, RHP/LHP, Arkansas (SEA No. 8/MLB No. 90)
Cijntje seems to have rediscovered himself at Double-A after an uneven start to his pro career at High-A Everett. The Netherlands-born hurler followed up a strong outing last time out with seven punchouts across six scoreless frames for Arkansas. Cijntje has allowed one run in his past two starts and hasn't yielded more than two earned runs in five consecutive outings. The 22-year-old sports a 3.03 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 29 2/3 innings spanning six Double-A starts. Gameday
Leo De Vries, SS, Midland (ATH No. 1/MLB No. 3)
De Vries helped jump-start the Double-A RockHounds' rally by going deep for a career-high 12th time and for the second time in three games. The 18-year-old has been red-hot this month, batting .500 (9-for-18) with three extra-base hits, four runs scored and three RBIs while hitting safely in all five games for Midland. De Vries has put together a solid .781 OPS in 113 games across two Minor League levels. Gameday
Jesús Made, SS, Biloxi (MIL No. 1/MLB No. 5)
Made delivered an impressive Double-A debut by plating two runs with his sixth triple of the season, singling and scoring twice for Biloxi. The Shuckers are the third team the 18-year-old has played for this year after he opened 2025 with Single-A Carolina before moving on to High-A Wisconsin. Made slashed .343/.415/.500 with 11 extra-base hits, 20 runs scored and 12 RBIs in 27 games for the Timber Rattlers prior to his promotion to Double-A. Gameday

Joe Mack, C, Jacksonville (MIA No. 3/MLB No. 72)
Robby Snelling's batterymate not only helped guide the southpaw on the mound but supported him at the plate. Mack went deep for the third consecutive contest for the Triple-A Jumbo Shrimp, leaving him one roundtripper shy of his second consecutive 20-homer campaign, and drove in three runs in a game for the first time since he had four RBIs on July 1. The 22-year-old is in the midst of a strong month offensively, slashing .333/.400/1.000 with four jacks and nine RBIs in seven games. Gameday
Robby Snelling, LHP, Jacksonville (MIA No. 4/MLB No. 76)
Perhaps the realization that he's just one call away from the Majors has taken Snelling's game to another level, or perhaps he's just this good. The 21-year-old continued to dominate for Triple-A Jacksonville, striking out seven while allowing one run over six frames. Snelling hasn't surrendered more than two runs in all 10 of his starts for the Jumbo Shrimp and sports a 1.38 ERA, an 0.99 WHIP and a 74/14 K/BB ratio in 58 2/3 innings since he joined the club in early July. Gameday
Cole Carrigg, OF/SS, Hartford (COL No. 3)
Carrigg's first homer since Aug. 16 was big, in more ways than one. Not only did the San Diego State product punctuate his three-hit game with a long ball, the jack was his fourth grand slam of the season and the fifth of his career. Carrigg, who has 15 roundtrippers and 64 RBIs in 118 games for Double-A Hartford, is 9-for-20 (.450) with 26 RBIs with the bags full. Gameday
David Shields, LHP, Columbia (KC No. 6)
A remarkable rookie campaign continued into the first postseason start for Shields, who struck out eight over five strong innings in the opening game of Single-A Columbia's Carolina League semifinal series. The 19-year-old allowed a run in the first frame when the first three batters reached base, but then turned virtually untouchable. Shields, who posted a 2.38 ERA in 19 regular-season starts, retired 15 of the final 16 hitters he faced. Gameday
James Tibbs III, OF, Tulsa (LAD No. 8)
Tibbs left the yard for the third consecutive game -- one fewer homer than he hit combined in July and August -- and reached base three times in six plate appearances. The 22-year-old has gone 8-for-17 (.471) with 10 RBIs in his past four contests after going hitless in his first two games this month. Tibbs has 19 taters and 66 RBIs across two Minor League levels and three organizations this season. Gameday
