Here are Sunday's top prospect performances from the Minors

June 2nd, 2025

As temperatures continue to heat up, so have top prospects across the sport. Multiple top hitters kicked off June by sending baseballs out of the yard. Although dominated by a handful of sluggers, Sunday's top performers also featured a few rising arms turning the corner in 2025.

Samuel Basallo, C/1B, Norfolk (BAL No. 1/MLB No. 16)
Basallo has been crushing it at the plate since returning to playing defense behind the plate after suffering right elbow inflammation during Spring Training. Since his first game back at catcher on May 13, he has six homers in 15 games at Triple-A -- including a massive roundtripper that went 410 feet at 110.3 mph in his latest outing. Basallo has a 1.071 OPS during this 15-game stretch, including a 1.598 mark when he’s catching. Gameday

Carson Williams, SS, Durham (TB No. 1/MLB No. 24)
Off to a slower start at Triple-A, Williams put together just the performance he needed to start June. The shortstop clubbed his seventh homer of the season during a 3-for-5 performance that also featured a double and three runs scored. Williams has posted an OPS of .800 or better in four professional seasons, and while matching his season high in hits, he moved in a positive direction to improve his slash line this summer. Gameday

Xavier Isaac, 1B, Montgomery (TB No. 2/MLB No. 46)
It was back-to-back game with a homer for Isaac as he connected on his seventh long ball of the season in Double-A Montgomery's series finale. The 21-year-old lefty has put his 70-grade power to good use through 24 games, sporting a .573 slugging percentage and 11 extra-base hits. Gameday

Justin Crawford, OF, Lehigh Valley (PHI No. 3/MLB No. 56)
Crawford continues to put on a hitting clinic as he delivered his second three-hit game in as many days, driving in four runs for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The 2022 first-rounder is up to eight games on the season with at least three hits and ranks fourth in the International League with a .338 average. He also ranks third on the circuit with 20 steals after nabbing second base in the top of the second inning. Gameday

Alex Clemmey, LHP, Wilmington (WSH No. 5)
The 2023 second-rounder continues to pile up strikeouts at a high clip in his second professional season. Armed with a pair of plus-or-better offerings, the southpaw struck out nine batters across five scoreless innings for High-A Wilmington -- after picking up nine K’s in six scoreless innings against the same Hudson Valley lineup on Tuesday. Clemmey leads the South Atlantic League with 67 strikeouts in 45 2/3 innings this season. Gameday

Leonardo Bernal, C, Springfield (STL No. 6)
The power-hitting backstop posted his first multihomer game of the season after going yard in his first two at-bats of the night for Double-A Springfield. The 21-year-old has clubbed eight on the season, improving his slash line to a career-best .265/.359/.500. Gameday

Alfredo Duno, C, Daytona (CIN No. 7)
Duno was known for his raw power when he signed with the Reds as the No. 4 international prospect in 2023. And he showed that potential off during his first multihomer game in full-season ball. The 19-year-old got things started in the first inning for Single-A Daytona with an RBI single and drove in five runs -- also a career best for him stateside -- as he raised his OPS to .896, fourth-best on the Florida State League circuit. Gameday

Eric Bitonti, 1B/3B, Carolina (MIL No. 7)
Bitonti is on quite the heater -- he's gone deep in four of his past seven at-bats for Single-A Carolina. After homering twice on Saturday, the lefty-swinging slugger went yard two more times on Sunday. The 2023 third-rounder already has five multihomer games in 135 professional contests and has raised his OPS 101 points in the past two days. Gameday

Trey Gibson, RHP, Aberdeen (BAL No. 15)
Gibson set a career high with 13 strikeouts across six innings for High-A Aberdeen. He limited Brooklyn to two runs on two hits without issuing a walk -- the damage came on a home run. The 23-year-old has been especially effective over his past five starts with a 3.13 ERA and 45 strikeouts to just eight walks in 23 innings. Gameday

Josh Bostick, RHP, Eugene (SF No. 19)
After leading the Single-A California League with a 26 percent strikeout rate last year, Bostick has brought more whiffs with him to High-A. The right-hander tied career highs with 10 K's across six innings and held Tri-City to two hits and two walks in his second scoreless start of the season. He’s up to a career-high 32.2 percent K rate in 2025, which would lead the Northwest League if he qualified on innings. Gameday
