Sitting atop the Top 100 Prospect rankings for the first time didn't faze Konnor Griffin, who continued to tear through opposing pitching. Perhaps the only hitter doing more damage is Spencer Jones, who left the yard three times as part of an ongoing power surge that has the slugger a homer shy of No. 30. On the mound, Andrew Painter got back into a groove and Jonah Tong added to his hefty strikeout total.
Konnor Griffin, SS/OF, Greensboro (PIT No. 1/MLB No. 1)
On the day he ascended to the top spot among MLB Pipeline's Top 100 Prospects rankings, Griffin went out and did what he's done virtually every game during his pro debut: hit. The 19-year-old equaled a career high with his third four-hit game of the season, drove in two runs and swiped a pair of bases. Griffin, who is slashing .319/.422/.487 in 30 games for High-A Greensboro, is batting .331 with a .924 OPS, 77 runs scored, 55 RBIs and 44 stolen bases in 80 contests across two Minor League levels. Spencer Jones, OF, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (NYY No. 4)
There might not be a hotter hitter on the planet right now than Jones, who homered three times in a game for the first time and drove in four runs for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The 24-year-old has gone deep 11 times in 67 at-bats this month and 20 times since June 3 to vault him atop the Minor League leaderboard with 29 roundtrippers. As good as Jones has been this season, his numbers since being promoted to Triple-A are otherworldly: a .400/.457/.950 slash line, 18 extra-base hits, 13 jacks and 25 RBIs in 19 games. Andrew Painter, RHP, Lehigh Valley (PHI No. 1/MLB No. 8)
Painter reached a benchmark of sorts during his best start in a month. The 22-year-old completed six innings for the first time in nearly three years and allowed just one hit -- a two-run homer to rehabbing big leaguer Ryan Mountcastle. Painter struck out four during his 76-pitch outing and averaged 96.6 mph on his four-seam fastball, topping out at 98.5 mph. Gameday
Zyhir Hope, OF, Great Lakes (LAD No. 2/MLB No. 31)
Hope snapped out of a 3-for-23 slide by matching his personal best with four hits and launching his career-high 10th homer. The Virginia native scored four runs and also swiped his 14th base for High-A Great Lakes, which has been the beneficiary of the 20-year-old's strong season. Hope appeared in just 61 games last year due to injury but has been a constant in the Loons' lineup in 2025, batting .293 with an .869 OPS, 58 RBIs and 34 extra-base hits in 86 games. Gameday

Alex Freeland, SS/3B, Oklahoma City (LAD No. 3/MLB No. 36)
Freeland homered for the first time since June 18 and equaled a career high with six RBIs to pace his club's offense. The Central Florida product entered the game batting .176 in July with seven RBIs in 68 at-bats but erupted for three knocks, falling a triple shy of the cycle for Triple-A Oklahoma City. Freeland is four RBIs shy of equaling the career-high 74 he knocked in last season in 132 games. Gameday
Jonah Tong, RHP, Binghamton (NYM No. 2/MLB No. 53)
The Minor League leader in strikeouts, Tong allowed a run in the first inning but settled down to toss four scoreless frames to close out his start. The 22-year-old struck out six, including the side in his final inning, and didn't issue a walk while surrendering three hits -- one after the opening frame. Through 17 starts for Double-A Binghamton, Tong's ERA stands at 1.72 to go along with 138 punchouts in 89 innings. Gameday
