HOUSTON -- Twins third baseman Royce Lewis will go on the injured list with a mild strain of his left hamstring.
Lewis, who was hurt while running out a ninth-inning single Friday night, had an MRI on Saturday, revealing the extent of his injury.
Lewis, who strained the same hamstring in March and didn’t make his 2025 debut until May 6, suffered his latest injury while running to first base on a ninth-inning single to left field.
After being activated in May, Lewis slashed just .130/.200/.203 in 20 games that month. But he has heated up, batting .367/.457/.533 over 10 games in June. He hit a solo home run in the sixth inning of Friday night’s loss.
